You can tell the intent was to make a kind of "second screen" game, they just released it about 20 years before multiple screens was common. The PC versions really hyped it up as each disk containing a unique little person.

Gotta love how you can deliver the Famicom instead of just having it already lying around, making that button effectively useless after one shot.

The girl has 62 different names she chooses from. One of her names has a duplicate instance in the game's data. When playing on actual hardware, it's possible to get different names based on the position of a certain part of the disk.

i like the dollhouse view, wish there was more of an actual game there, but cool in historical sense for sure.

I had to look up this game's soundtrack after hearing that rocking piano music. Well, at least half of it is famous public domain music, but I like the wonky Super Mario Brothers soundalike that I'm guessing was used for the Famicom-within-a-Famicom sessions.

I had no idea this game was on the Famicom!

4:00 okay well I'm glad you said something before you were inundated with comments about it, haha. I mean neat idea for the time but doesn't seem like much interaction compared to other raising simulators like tamagotchi or seaman.

I remember the home computer versions of this and at the time there was nothing like it and it blew people away. It doesn't really stand up today, unfortunately.

I'm going to be honest, this is my favorite Famicom Disk System game. Oh, there's other better games on the system, but they can also generally be played on cartridge. This a purely disk system kinda game. Yes, it's limited, and there's not much to do with it these days, but I love having it on in the background as a "virtual dollhouse." It's also super cute. I adore it so much. Wish I had it in my collection even though I don't have a Disk System!

I seem to remember that each copy of the computer version of Little Computer People was uniquely randomized in some way.

Was this the first virtual pet? This seems like a game that was ahead of its time and kind of suffers for trying to execute a good idea before the technology was quite ready.

I don't know how would you play this... would you leave it in the background while you do other stuff? Pretty cool anyways.

This feels less like a precursor to The Sims and more like an early version of Osaka Simulator

tried playing this with an emulator but it never goes past the start screen just before girl comes back walking backwards from the right side and plays an instrument. Is that because of some in-game timer?
