Such a killer album!!! Got the Amazon version, and a couple days later tracked down the Target edition with bonus tracks.

Really great first impressions! Some of my fav songs are Gates in Hell the title cut Escape From Reality Panic Attack and Devil in Disguise! Crown of Horns is definitely an anthem in the waiting! I enjoy The Lodger and Fight Of Your Life too! Definitely agree with Music Nut best most consistent Priest since Painkiller. Great show guys! Still gotta pick up my copy of it

I bought 8 copies. I love the album. I always buy a couple friends a copy. Their is a lot of standout tracks. I look forward to your revisit to this album in a few months. I feel they’ve got zero bad albums. Keep up the good work. Always , we are the Defenders Of The Faith .

Men, I really like the new JP album so far. I’m in the middle of my third listen. Oddly enough, one of the tracks that really stands out to me is “The Lodger.” I simply ADORE that chorus. Plus, it’s a revenge tale; something I’m always a sucker for. I just keep walking around my apartment singing that chorus. Halford sounds awesome, the guitar work is golden, the drumming powerful and l actually hear a wee bit of bass here and there. 😉 l am enjoying the album thus far. I don’t mind the pause in the series as l await future installments. Cheers from Noo Yawk, ova heyah. Rock Out and Prog On! Your pal and mine, ~ The Dastardly Davey Cretin of CRETIN CLASSICS. 🎵”Vengeance is mine, said The Lodger / Vengeance is mine!”🎵

Best band ever and I’m a huge Iron Maiden fan. Also, a big Black Sabbath fan. I’ve flip flopped over the years on Maiden and Sabbath.

I think it’s a really good album. I too just need to listen to it more to see where I would rank it in the catalog.

I believe Giants is about Lemmy and Ronnie!

I am in the midst of Judas Priest mania with this album. I listened to it twice on the first two days of release and once a day since then. I don't know if there's some recency bias, but this is upper crest Priest to me. In a ranking it would fall somewhere between six and eight, and that's saying a lot considering the strength of their catalog. Per Kerrang, Giants in the Sky is about Dio and Lemmy. I hear pieces of many albums in these songs, including Screaming for Vengeance, Defenders of the Faith, Painkiller, Turbo, Point of Entry (Crown of Horns), and Firepower.

Good Record! I agree it is a consistent album and it is well done. It's definitely up there with Firepower. I have been listening to it every other day. So far Devil In Disguise and Sons Of Thunder are my least favorites and Trial By Fire I've been skipping, they're good but I like everything else better. And my favorites so far are As God As My Witness, Escape From Reality and Giants In The Sky. And I absolutely love Crown Of Horns (Eddie Money lift not withstanding! lol!) since it was released, melodic mid-tempo groover where Rob sings in his middle register with serious lyrics. And as for the Bonus tracks I would have preferred Fight For Your Life and The Lodger in place of Devil In Disguise and Sons Of Thunder. I was relieved when I first saw the track list and there were no cheesy titles like Metalizer, Demonizer, Leather Rebel, Monsters Of Rock and Hard As Iron!!! LOL!!! OK, so far those is my first impressions, They may change as I sit with the album more, I gave it a 7/10 on SOT, but that may change as well. I still Like KK's Priest - The Sinner Rides Again more. I got the Vinyl version and the Target CD. Great Packaging! Now let's get to TURBO!!!!

I’d go further than John and say this is the best album since Screaming for Vengeance. 4.5/5 for me.

Love “Fight of Your Life” easily my favorite from this offering but if I had to choose the main tracklist I would have to say the title track. I got 2 vinyl editions for the different covers that came with a 45 of the bonus tracks! Overall I love this record, I think I would rank it somewhere in my top 5, I see it as an overall improvement over Firepower. Rob screams and the solos feel more creative and complex

First and foremost, not related to the album but I have a very hard time not liking Andy. He’s been the DUDE to me for a long time. Since before he did Saxon, Accept, or even Testament. I think the first thing he did on my radar was Nevermore Dead Heart in a Dead World and/or This Godless Endeavor and then he did United Abominations and the Masterpiece Endgame! Andy is great and I have nothing but respect for him. As for the album, I got the Target version, as JC said it’s like a hard book. I can send you pics if you like? I have listened to the album twice. I think it’s consistently good all the way through, I don’t know if I go so far as to say it’s their best since Painkiller. I think the two that followed Painkiller are pretty stellar. I do think that this is a very consistent album and if this were to be their last album, they could hang their hat and hold their head high on this album. It’s like an Overkill album, it’s solid all the way through. I didn’t think there was a clunker or a song I felt like I wanted to fast forward. Trail by Fire had a very Judas Rising vibe and it made that song stand out. Panic Attack was a solid opener, and Escape from Reality was a solid chugger. I think those 3 stood out for me.

When I get to this one I know if it's more like Firepower than Redeemer I'll like it...I liked exactly 1/2 of the new Ace Frehley release, and there's the new Anette Olzon soon so good year so far..

Thanks for the excellent video, and I think very fair reviews by you both. Not a bad album, I would rate it 7 out of 10, but only listened to it a couple of times. Nothing really stands out for me yet, and it's not that any track IMO come across like the classic's that I love such as Sinner, Beyond the Realms of Death, Victim of Changes, Tyrant, Genocide, Exciter etc. from the 70's. Give it time, and I will see if it grows on me.

I think this album is really good. First 7 songs are killers. As god is my witness is like hard as iron, but without earthquakes 😉 gates of hell first solo before verse reminding me of soldiers under command. The best song? Maybe panic attack or serpent. The worst? Escape from reality. Good solo, but too modern sounding song. Not my style. Album for me is let’s say 7.5/10. The best since 1990 👍

Far better than Redeemer, not as consistent as Firepower...Standouts to me were Serpent,Giants,God Is My Witness, title cut..Sort of a cross between Ram It Down and Firepower in terms of riffs + production.I'll give it a low 7... Slightly better than the Ace Frehley album...Based on the initial tracks I've heard, the new Anette Olzon CD might well be my favorite this year.

Completely disappointed with this album. Terrible from start to finish. Production is horrendous and every song sounds boring and repetitive. 5/10

Great album not as great as Painkiller but I would put up there with Firepower not sure which one I like better but that's says a lot for a great record. Pretty solid record. Giants in the Sky and the Lodger just not gel for me.... like Lochness back from Angel days.
