The Yeheb Project - food for drylands

Thank you for taking the time to find out about The Yeheb Project. We aim to empower communities in the Horn of Africa (Somaliland, Somalia and the Somali Region of Ethiopia) to improve their livelihoods, using indigenous species that are well-adapted to local conditions, provide food and other useful products, and will help to restore habitats that may have become degraded by over-grazing.
One such plant is Yeheb (Cordeauxia Edulis) which was once common across the drylands of the Horn. Our aim, with the participation of local people, is to restore Yeheb and other species for the benefit of the community - building long-term resilience and economic security.
