I remembered watching this and loving it so much i got into the games. What i really like about it is how Nate only summons Yo-Kai. He doesn't control them like pokemon. If they were doing something before they will be caught off-guard and they might even leave immediately if they dont qant to fight. This is pretty entertaining and makes for some funny situations.

I’ve been keeping up with the anime ever since it came out and when it just randomly disappeared into like the 3rd season I was so confused and wanted to finish it so I searched on google and finished the anime and even other anime’s about ykw as well. Well actually, the Slice of Life format is what made the anime such a success. The creators said the idea was for the audience to be humored by the idea of everyday occurrences being caused by these weird yo-kai. And it worked, people love the anime.

Yo-kai Watch is an amazing anime, manga and video game. I remember watching it on Cartoon Network back in the day. Only the 70 something episode aired and the first movie. This was the reason why I bought a ds and playing all 4 games which released. And still collecting the manga too, fortunately viz still releasing it. This video brought back memories and I feel old at the same time. Komasan is my favourite.

The Yokai Watch lore goes so deep with. Season one is the introduction. You meet Nate, Whisper, Jibanyan and the others. You also learn about summoning and the Yokai Watch. By the end of season one and the most of season two are lore based. You learn about the origins of Whisper and Jibanyan in detail and you see some serious villains that take them back in time. Characters who are actually bad people and not just trolling. This was obviously to hype the movie. The movie makes the lore go even deeper and you learn that Nate’s great grandfather actually invented the Yokai Watch. Dane Deadtime has to be one of the most evil Yokai. She tries to erase the Yokai Watch and kill Jibanyan but her backstory is actually really sad. After the movie the rest of season two goes back to normal. After season two is when we get season three. They got new voice actors for the characters and it sounds similar but not the same. We also get introduced to Hailey An another person who bought the Yokai Watch from a store. This kind of ruins the whole Nate is the only one who can see them and Hailey starts getting more time than Nate? Why? There was another movie and then Shadow side…

The Less you know about *Micchi the Slimamander in Yo-Kai Watch Shadowside,* the More Satisfaction you'll have for Slimamander in general - his Personality in Layman's Terms is: the Old Pervert that thinks they're still in their Prime, despite being Weak as Shit, and has a Creepy Obsession with the Female Protag. Kind of like _DragonBall's Oolong_ - even when he looks intimidating, he can be KO'd by a Light Breeze. *Comedy Relief through and through...* Micchi could've been a decent Character if _LEVEL-5_ hadn't decided to make him Comedy Relief, as his Humanoid Form could've made him a more versatile Fighter - but then they made this form *pathetically Weak,* making it absolutely worthless! It's a good-looking form otherwise, incorporating his other Two Heads into the ShoulderPads and *not giving the Mask a Hole for his Tongue to hang out from.* Doesn't lower the Creep Factor he radiates during _his attempts to woo the Protag, though..._

Yes, they used variations of the Swampy Marsh theme for YW1 and YW2. However in YW Blasters and YW3, they instead dubbed the opening songs from King Cream Soda. AND, the boss music for Hinozall is a dubstep remix of the Swampy Marsh theme!

I remember this thing from when I was a child, it helped me have my first friend from elementary school, I was never able to play the games unfortunately although I enjoyed seeing what they were like through gameplays By the way, in my country Mexico and I don't know if in other parts of Latin America the subject of the credits normally came up with its animation animation appeared in the channel's commercials it was something to me it was something strange in the sense that I don't want to see it a little bit scary, but I assumed that it was partly because I didn't want my parents to see me watching cartoons and that cause was almost a teenager. although when I was alone I didn't want to see it if I could, this didn't just happen to me, to many Spanish-speaking children. I also can't really think of a reason., I don't know if it was due to the lack of context, the somewhat low resolution models, the theme or some other element of it. Do someone know if they simply took the models from the game and made the animation like that directly? From how I remember it, it seemed that way, I would check it out, but I think the DXD accounts disappeared.

Netflix removed it and the anime is not currently streaming anywhere. You have to find other sources for it, there’s a DVD at least.

Yo-kai Watch Wibble Wobble was the localization of Yo-kai Watch Puni Puni, and yes I do remember! In fact, Puni Puni is one of Japan’s most successful mobile apps. It has like 10,000 yo-kai in it.

I liked the anime but damn, i'm jealous. Other Countries got the Movie and more Seasons. We in Germany got the first 26 Episodes and thats it. It was an Nickelodeon and it was for me, the saddest Anime death

I personally think the anime hurt the series’ reputation here in the west. It’s likely more people saw the anime than the games, and all the weirdness kinda made people write it off. Personally, I don’t like the anime all that much, it’s too weird for my liking. I love the games tho.

Nah believe me, yes the Yo-kai Watch anime is weird and all, but it is SO TAME compared to what’s usually in other anime. If someone has watched anime before then Yo-kai Watch is a walk in the park. It really only helped get more people into the franchise, a complete net-positive you could say. And as someone who has watched it WAY past season 1, it only got weirder and the franchise only got more popular so it did not detour nearly as many people as it brought in.

Kinda hate how it didn't balance or take it's self abit more seriously in term of story, lore and even comdey, It feels as time goes on they went for more experimental stuff and cheap gags, but in fairness they still had nice stories along the way

After about a few hundred episode segments it did start to get not as good. The English dub didn’t get to that point though as it stopped getting dubbed before those episodes.

yeah, really suck that Japanese yokai watch has alot of episodes than English one
