Leorios Nen abilities and learning does lag behind the others but he does also take a "slow and steady" longview on the matter, being quite average in the amount of nen he has. But because he takes the long term approach , the abilities he develops dont have any real drawbacks or limiting factors unlike some other abilities.

They actually dealt some damage to Uvogin, so they're not the worst. If they had teamed up with Kurapika, they probably could've come up with a good strategy against the Phantom Troupe depending on the abilities of the others who got fodderized by Shizuku and Feitan. Owl and Leech would of course be the most useful to Kurapika.
