Daughters are more perceptive to the hardships and the struggles that the parents go through - whether it’s raising the family, dealing with relatives or whatever it may be; in addition to see the sacrificing and the caring nature of a mother. The daughter understands the need to care for others , physically and emotionally, by observing the parents. Then when she becomes an adult, she has that desire to care for the parents, having seen all they sacrificed. I have heard elderly people say that their daughters take better care of them than their sons. And I think it’s because the daughters are more caring to the needs - physical and emotional.

I'm Canadian, and all our family members were very close to our mom, rest her soul. She lived with me until she passed at 89yrs. My sisters were always there to help with anything and everything, as well as my son and friends Family is absolutely everything to me.

What an episode this this !!!! Its sk nice to see how have raised your kids ..Its true that kids dont need all the fancy stuff we parents struggle to provide .. Their core memory will always be the time spent with them. This episode i think each one of youll deserves an A grade for their role and viewpoints ..

I gave up with taking the screaming kids to Bollywood movies. Last one was Jawan and my daughter started staring at the ceiling. She came home and told her friends she could not stare at a shirtless grandfather.

LOVE your podcast and it’s been a great resource for me recently even though I don’t always agree with some perspectives on it. So thank you!! Asking for myself: I’m a young immigrant Indian parent raising my toddler in San Francisco. I feel clueless about the school system in America and don’t know what might be the best place to research this at. Also same question regarding college education- is there a resource for parents like me that gives a good mind map breakdown of how to approach school and college? The choices for both seem to influence so many life decisions here in the long term - home, city of choice, neighborhood, how free time is spent/ invested in etc. what are the ins and outs of applying early, auditing and picking classes etc? I wish to put my best foot forward for my kid. Also how about this topic as an idea for another episode?

Even I had sacrificed my work, which was my own decision to bring up my only child who was born after 7 years, hats off to my husband who helped me in grooming my child, I dint want him to grown with baby sitter who were no good those days, Its worth, when you see them doing so well in life. All your 3 kids touchwood are very sweet kids.God bless them.

20:00 I have story of my didi When she was small like 5-6 She wanted mom to give her attention but mom was busy in something so she was telling to her to wait She got irritated and fast snacks mom prepared she just took and throw the plate in yard Mom was mad so she shouted her and lock her out of the house But she was not crying or anything She just gone to aunt(tenant upstairs) Played there till dad came back from office 😅😂😂😢😂😂😂 (Where as here when she left mom was crying and calling her back but she didn't came and then when dad came home and saw mom tears, sad she came from without nowhere all crying and hugged dad like she was the victim)like 😂😂😂😂😂😅😅

I feel women in general are more caring and emotional that’s why we see daughters taking of parents or atleast think of them more than sons. Sons once engaged in their life just get too engaged in their own life and find it difficult to also think about their parents at the same time. I feel it’s just a man and a woman thing and you see it in all areas not just in parent child relationship. It’s not like they don’t care but their way of caring is just very different

0:56 i just noticed you guys were wearing slippers even on couch like my indians parents will kill me if i did that 😂 05:17 personally i want to move out but then i will visit my parents every week and that sounds little hectic maybe 1st i will earn good have a good house in whatever city i want to move out and make my parents live with me as i am single child and it is very indian behavior 13:04 that is not that rare i know many people here play foothball basket ball almost professionally and now we do have good sports facilities in our schools and 14:35 i am 16 still sleep in same room as my parents and i like that can relate to zarna aunty that is very relatable 27:50 too relatable

You guys are again still stuck in India of 1970s. People much older than your kids have actually had quite a decent experience with sports, especially soccer and swimming. India has had many "Gymkhana" like facilities with a rich variety of sports (not as comparable to Manhattan), and parents have always encouraged them. This family is either very out of touch or their families back in India were not well to do (at all) and they probably saw money for the first time in US.

Nope. I immigrated only a few years back and go back each year. My son is as old as all of my friends' kids (all upper middle class families in a tier 1/2 cities). The sports infrastructure in India is a joke as a compared to the US.

Bro. Every minute of this is a debate point. I can't even keep up. Why do you have a child? What is the meaning of life? Do you not trust your upbringing? I may agree on awareness but what do I have to know what happened on that weekend? What's the big deal about 4 days? What do you mean investment? There is no return on this. Also, overthinking and harrasing the child about futur issues may end up actualising it. Change the thought process. 10 minutes is enough for me. Bye.

Shalab is my hero. Clever IIT grad and honest financier. Zarna is superb when she is comparing Asian cutures with Western cultures. But she is best when she is matchmaking at the Club. Podcast is a complete waste of time. Lazy people sitting around talking into a mike. Who gives a fart.

More comedy shows, cutting pineapples in the kitchen and cornering Brij when he wants to do western things like sports, go to the beach and do sun bathing. Then henpecking my hero Shaleb. When he is cornered Shaleb comes out with some smart golden nuggets showing his superb intelligence

That Track ⭐ star thing - just to even my surprise, these days India is witnessing quite of awareness. ## Hyderabad has 100s of private sport zones, where working professional/nin sport guys visit & game. ** people are sending their kids to tennis Academy, dance class & swimming sessions. ## I always was a road runner but did some 20+ marathons, owing to the initiative of the running community.
