@@MRCG68 yes,i still have two lasernuts,with lots of gpm upgrades and skf ballbearings,so I hope they last longer now !..Thanks for the tip !..I saw the guys of rc kiwis driving it,with lots of jumps,nothing broke on the car,but there were a lot of screws and bolts coming loose..so I definitely check all those ones and fix them with loctite !I also will fit skf bearings on the car,they are the best !!..I am also not a jumper,like to drive in the forests,more like rally racing...I also have a Foxx-VE,love that one aswell...Much love from the Netherlands !

Thank you for the honest information. What weight oil do you like in the center differential, and the front differential? I watched the video you did with the Arrma Mojave 6s, where you hit the pallet with the dbx-07…..the dbx-07 was handling good in that video! 👍

hello i use front 150k cst and center 300k cst rear 10k sct stock shock oil but with 4 hobao 4 hole shock pistons , and best solution for cvd and dog bones to not hit the drive cup is on all 4 corner inside hub 8x16x4 bearing isntade off 8x16x5 and outside between wheel hex and bearing 1mm shime sot the cvd/dog boen have more room :)

Hi.. i watched your videos many many times..thanks for such a technical sharing and information.. if i did not watch this.. i could have been destroying my diff or cub...i bought this DBX07 few days ago.. then only realize it has so many problem on the dog bone and cvd.. How was your DBX-07 now aday? u still driving it? Mine one still in the box did not dare to run it before some modification.. been trying to search more info and parts that i need.. trying to get 16x8x4 good bearing.. pirates 3 front cvd to reduce the hit.. to the diff..

hello Js so the moste easy to do ist put 4 16x8x4 bearing insid the hubs and shime outside 8x9x1 (maybe you need 5x0.2 shims)) so with this extra 1mm no more dogbone hiting the drive cap bottom :) and i drive 8s low kv so nice run time no heat issu (75kmh is way enought for me in this size car )

Very informative review👍. Still debating whether to get the RC, because I love the look of it. I really like my DR8 and wanted this to be a bigger version of it for more ground clearance. On the other hand I also have Mojave for more ground clearance. 🤔 Still not sure about this DBX07… The RCKiwis are loving it, but you are much more detailed in your review👍👊.

hello , i jsut order 4 pirate 3 cvd ( 2 mm shorter works nice on pirate who have same arrms...so schould be good ) and shock piston can be from any brand jsut teflon not soft flex plastic like corraly or zd héhé

hello , i put 150.000csst front 300.000 center and 10.000 rear , and take time to put 16x8x4 bearing inside wheel hubs and put 1mm shime betwen outside bearing and wheel hex , so the cvd/dog bone so you can have more ground clearance and less chance to see the cvd/dogbone hit the drive cups and destroy the diffs

Can you tell me good alternative shock absorbers for this RC car? Mine have started leaking and I was looking at some Arrma shock absorbers but I'm confused with the dimensions and all that :(

hello , so where do they leak ? in top or bottom because its easy to fix , the stock shocks have bad upper joints can be changer with each other brand 17mm shock joint

hello Ed , i usr xray piston but take egal what you have , hobao /arrma all fits, and ajsut the oil to you piston , but if you luky you don't have to do it :) i don't expect that the complet production has wrong stuff hahahha , in the diff i sue 150k /300k /10lk cst i drive it yesterday on field gently was all fine :) the hib bearing are after 30min has many paly maybe gonna change it after 2 or 3 runs

I've been wondering something and you might just be the guy with the answer I need. I have the 1/8 zd racing mt8 and I watched your video on the dbx07 and thought you might know if the diffs will work out of the 1/7 in the 1/8 i know the gear being cut different doesn't really matter as long as I get the correct pinion it is just that they went from a 38t ring gear in the 1/8 to a 43t in the 07 and I am not sure if it will fit in my 1/8 diff housing. Hope to hear back im really hoping you have the answer to this and I can get this upgrade done. Thanks for your time and good video on the 07.

hello i guess you need the woll diff case , tcheck out the 1/8 diff and the 1/7 diff case part number , if its same just need 2 main gear and two complet diffs

@@MRCG68 the diff case is slightly different i do know that and did you say it is 5mm larger than the one in the 1/8 scale? I might have enough clearance in my cases i guess I was wondering if it was possible you could see if one fit in the case since you had both vehicle and could check fitment first hand. Thanks.

@@MRCG68 OK because I know the width outside of the bearing to outside of the bearing is the same and I would do diff and diff pinion due to the better angle of the teeth? Do you possibly remember why it didn't work or is that what you were saying because the ring gear hits the housing due to its larger diameter? Sorry to bother you so much about it just really wanting to make this upgrade happen. I'm not against using the 07s diff case im just not sure it will work due to bracing shock towers etc. Thanks for all your help I really do appreciate it

hello do to he's size not easy to find other body who ach , tire wwise you can put any 1/8 scale tires, but that truck is not good quality

I actually took a look at my zd racing when i received my hobao hyper sste, the shocks from zd racing appear to be a knockoff hobao shock, i have heard zd racing uses old ofna parts, but hobao shocks should be a direct bolt on

hello , yeah you can surrely put many other shocks on the truc , the hobao cannot fit stock mount (they are poped on a ballend in the top ) so you need the upper mount with the schock , but the major issue are this cvd and to long dog bone

@@MRCG68 yeah, i remember you mentioning that a few times, the pirate monster truck is the same issues, they just need to extend the arms about 5mm for it to be so much better, that way they arent damaging the bearings and drivecups like you pointed out. And thank you again for the video being in English i like watching your content but i sadly dont speak or understand your primary language without captions. Also echt mal, für den Preis nie im Leben. Mit dem Antriebsstrang und Fahrwerksteilen hätten sie mal lieber im 1/8er Bereich bleiben sollen. Das kleine Mitteldiff sieht total verloren aus auf dem riesen Chassis...XD Obwohl er vom Design her echt cool aussieht und wahrscheinlich auch ein bissl mehr Bodenfreiheit hat, würd ich jedem empfehlen ein bisschen zu sparen und den Losi dbxle zu nehmen wenn man so nen Wüstenbuggy mag.
