I’ve made just one and I’m going to try again today. Sewing around the curves was a nightmare though! The upper body with the wings was so stiff I could barely get them to bend and give. I even clipped them 🤷‍♀️. I’m not new to sewing and I’ve sewn curves and gussets etc… but this just kicked my butt. My fabrics and interfacing were very similar to yours and you just breezed through it. I was so worried about closing the zipper and I had no trouble there 😂. Go figure, I always have to be different.

The best thing I have have found is to use 1/8" double sided tape on the very edge to keep it in place and sew with a 1/4" seam allowance! and just to go slow!
