Good story! It made me think of a Zombie survival technique I haven't seen used in print or on screen. DRONES. Remote Controlled Cars, Planes, Helicopters, and even Boats. They would be a bit dangerous to start up near you, but once far enough away, they could look for and even lure Zombies out of areas, or at least detect them at a distance. And of course... they could also carry certain energetic payloads... And while melee weapons don't require ammo, they are only as good as the strength and skill of the person swinging them. You want to survive a Zombie crisis... get a GUN.

Do Chevy or Toyota drivers not enjoy playlists, it seems like an odd thing to mention. It reminded me of how people who are into crossfit, being a Marine, atheism or veganism and how they will let you know within a few sentences of meeting them.

Moved from Sacramento to Mississippi. Spent 38 years there and loved it. Moved because I have family here and get to know them. Miss Sacramento so much 😢

Excellent story. I liked the characters, and the narration was good, too. Very descriptive scenes that I could imagine as I listened. I like that it was a short listen, because so many zombie audiobooks are so very long. Quality writing.

@@storystream10009 I absolutely enjoyed the story! I couldn't help but notice you did a bit of research about Folsom before writing the story too. I happen to live right off E. Bidwell st and the Palladio is a couple miles down that road from my place and you even put the lake, an accurate depiction of the bridge that goes over the lake & the prison (that's the prison Johnny Cash recorded "Live at Folsom Prison" at) in the thumbnail. You did a great job man, thank you for your effort and attention to detail. This was the first time I listened to a zombie story and felt like the zombie apocalypse was happening all around me! You're welcome, I'd subscribe a 1000 more times if I could! I hope your channel continues to be successful you deserve it. Again thank you for your hard work and the effort you put into your story's! You're awesome, looking forward to listening to more from your channel!

As bad as California is, currently. I'm not sure a zombie apocalypse wouldn't be an improvement. Folsom Lake and the American River were favorite hangouts in high school. My buddy lived in Orangevale. Beautiful country.

California could use a hard reset of sorts, it might as well be zombieland in terms of economics and social climate.
