Why do I watch this with nostalgia and cry as if I were there and lived in those times? I'm 25 years old and I feel closer to this than anything I've ever lived through or experienced in my time... The feeling I get at the end is that LOVE always wins... ps THE ZOMBIES ROCK

Anyone who doesn't own Odessey and Oracle (the album this is from) should really put that right without delay. One of the finest albums of the 1960s which still holds up today. Recorded at Abbey Road immediately after Sgt Pepper and the better album of the two in my opinion.

I love 'Odessey and Oracle', but Better than 'Sgt. Pepper'? I respectfully disagree. Both are great albums though.

​@@YnotNomis For me Sgt. Pepper is the first 3 songs + A Day In the Life. Magical Mystery Tour does a much better job at the poppy psychedelic madness but isn't nearly as well-received for some reason.

They are both seminal. I think Strawberry Fields, A Day In The Life and Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds best captured peak level psychedelic rock. Odyssey is certainly a brilliant runner up though.

I think I know what you mean, at least from a historical perspective since I didn't live through that time period. But it's kind of like the dichotomy between the 1910's and the 1920's, in terms of how people dressed, especially young women, and the music they listened to and how they rebelled against the "stuffier" generation that preceded them.

Check out the Zombie's album, "Odessey and Oracle". They spelled "Oddysey wrong, but produced one of the best albums of the 1960s.

While the connection to The Odyssey might be tenuous beyond the title, I think this song is connected to The Lotus Eaters part of the story, written from the perspective of some of Odysseus's men who had partaken in the lotus eating, but was forced back onto the ship. The song Changes might also be seen as Odysseus returning to his wife Penelope
