Blue-in-Green:RADIO's 30minMix series continues our celebration of the music from our modern-day heroes. With selections from a range of musical styles including jazz, funk, soul, R&B and neo-soul, join us as we delve through the catalogues of contemporary luminaries to unsung geniuses.
This mix celebrates the music of Snarky Puppy - an American jazz fusion band led by bassist Michael League. Founded in 2004, Snarky Puppy combines a variety of jazz idioms, rock, world music and funk, and has won five Grammy Awards to date. Members of the band have also gone on to achieve significant solo success in their own right including Bill Laurance, Bobby Sparks, Robert Searight amongst others.
