Oh lord. No shade, but he didn’t create the entire cinematic genre, he just cornered the market. It’s a reason why a lot of us creators don’t attempt it because we are constantly compared. I’m just being me, artistic in every way I see fit. I know this was meant as a compliment, but just showing the backside of even in a delight, there is a comparison ❤️

The555 I wasn’t really comparing you to him nor do I normally compare you to anyone. I just meant the beginning reminded me of some of his vlogs from a couple years ago where it often started off making coffee. I just liked the content and the way it was shot. Very homey and comfy. That’s all. Didn’t realize it would become a big thing .

Not a big thing at all! Just letting it be known that compliments for one’s own actions are better, at least to me, than placing value on it because it is reminded of another. I’m glad you like the coffee sequence. I was feeling particularly inspired that day ❤️

LOVED the aSMR bit. Glad that things work out for you and you are in a happy place. and I love your coffee grinder, we still ( my parents got it late 60s?)have the same, it is just so efficient and such a good design.

Vinny, I loved the ASMR opening! As a former theater technical director who dabbled in sound, it was as though you had turned the microphone up to FULL for things like the coffee grinder, etc. I did an ASMR voiceover for a KZbinr and it was hard to do!

A random group of thoughts inspired by this vlog: Good for Michael - well-deserved! When you say Brandon is “shipping out“ on Thursday, I have visions of him joining the Navy, which I’m sure is not the case. Whenever I see someone on KZbin making coffee, they invariably grind their own beans. I have never ground my own beans. (To be honest, until the last year or so, I usually used instant coffee - I know, shocking!) And as to ASMR, I can pretty much take it or leave it. I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it either.

Not all sounds are good for ASMR. The coffee grinder is too mechanical and harsh. Next time, mute that part down. The rest was good
