Back when Cali public schools played hard hitting smashmouth football and could go toe to toe with any of the Trinity league powerhouses. Now all those inner city kids are getting swooped up by Mater Dei, Bosco, Bishop Gorman, etc.

To think the very next year Bosco would become a power and change the whole landscape of California and National HS Football for the next decade. We miss Centennial and Poly being public and able to compete with MD, Servite and Bosco.

How can you copare those schools from Hawaii to poly and mater dei. They are very behind at the skill positions in Hawaii. Not saying they don't have great athletes because they have some. But if they tried to play poly they would lose badly. They would be no match speed wise, fundamentaly, athleticly, and would be out coached.
