Very underrated...they practiced singing back then and it showed...I really don't like to bash the young lady singers of today. But the industry just wants another pretty face out there and they rush to get their music out to the public...particularly the R&B Girls we have today but not just them, but most of the music today...but after about 2010 the R&B music is just going through the motions. But jmo

When I was in my teens, a friend and I had the pleasure to meet Ms. McCoo and Mr. Davis after a concert and Ms. McCoo graciously invited us to be their guest at the following night's performance. At intermission, they sent over refreshments to my friend and I. They were so gracious and I'll never forget how their kindness made me feel. Great talent and even greater kind people!

Sounds from growing up! On the radio on top of the fridge or the AM (FM yet?) in the car ; )

I remember hearing this song on the low fidelity PA system at our local pool when I was 16. I had no understanding of the meaning of the song, but loved the harmony and lyrics. Since then, I have become a big fan of Ms McCoo who I feel is one most underrated d singers of the era. There is no one around who can touch her talent and artistry now.

Used to hear this in the back of my father's station wagon on the way home from Chicago. Seems like a century ago.

The layering of their voices was unique & I haven't heard Florence's group yet...but I can't imagine them duplicating the original five.

I stumbled on their Soul Train performance of this Burt Bucharach classic. McCoo's rich & heartfelt vocals is haunting

I read somewhere that the 5th Dimension's "One Less Bell to Answer," after being an album track on the "Portrait" album for several months, became an unexpected hit after it was featured on an episode of the old TV show "It Takes a Thief" (starring Robert Wagner).

I discovered The Fifth Dimension on It Takes a Thief . Loved them ever since. I think I have certainly most if not all their albums. Unfairly labelled Middle of the Road or Easy Listening basically as a put down! I’ll take them anytime. Such class !
