I love melwalker's comment at 3:52 which said "pov: you wake up from your thousand years slumber beneath the pyramids" which I dont know if he played the World Quests but his description is 100% on point. There is a whole quest about the "Golden Slumber" and "Eternal Oasis" but people actually never wake up so the song could be referring to the triangle matrix machines which we fight, are asleep until you approach them and then this battle music starts playing. Comment edited for better comprehension. I learned a lot of English in the past year

the main theme and the repeating pattern introduced at the beginning is all in 5, excluding the soli stuff in the middle. after that though, the main theme ramps up (2:48) and is altered into what would be two bars of 4 followed by two bars of 5, so the phrasing looks like "4+4+5+5." although it's different, there is actually order to it :) anyway i love this track, the other desert battle music doesn't compare imo

Its not 8/8 or 10/8 At the start it's a 5/8 and at the end to include the orchestra, they do interchanging 2*(4/8) and 2*(5/8).

There're actually 4 different battle themes playing in the desert
