This is why I always scoffs whenever 4th gen stans rank SKZ the lowest in vocals like have they even heard them sing? All 8 members are capable of singing, the main rappers could also hit high notes, the lead rappers have amazing falsettos, the main vocals have insane vocal range. It's not just that, 4 members could alternately sing one another's part despite it being technically hard. They be switching between chest, nasal and head voice so amazingly. And they have crazy stable live vocal skills.

They also alot of times forget to take in account the numerous adlibs and hidden vocals that are absolutely perfection when listening skz bsides and title tracks. Imo these ppl mostly only see who has the most no. Of high notes when they rank vocalists. Don't get me wrong, that is indeed a good aspect but don't u see that skz hv given us that, as well as so many other vocal spheres in many of their songs that are incredible examples of showcasing their vocal colour, breath controll, transitions between head voices and chest voices and how seameless they are, amazing and unique vocal tones I.e all memebers sound rll different from one another yet their voices blend in perfectly in harmonisation, absolute controll while switching pitch and verse, Lee know's falsetto is prettier literally half of the main vocals I hv heard till date, stability in vocals, and usage of many vocal techniques that they hv picked up over the years. They hv some of the best live singing skills, and their vocals rll stand out, even knetz hv said this before...I think after all the comeback albums and single released by skz this year especially no one should rank them low In those lists anymore, they have sung in numerous ballad type songs this Yr, and hv shown their diversity in vocal. Chan, seungmin, I.n , Lee know, han are a set off incredible main and lead vocal kind of talents. Each one of em has smth absolutely terrific when it comes to singing. Seungmin- HE IS MAIN VOCAL FOR A REASON! I believe seungmin was rll always very capable in vocals, he just needed the right vessels to bring it out to us, which he has successfully done in recent years, and deserves to be acknowledged as one of the best 4th gen vocals. • I hv never heard a tone as attractive as his. He has an absolutely smooth , elegant and angelic voice, that feels so matured and well nourished that it becomes an addiction the more u listen to it. • he has absolute control over switching pitch and doing in and out vocal runs, has rll good breath controll, and his deep tone while hitting higgnotes is my absolute fave thing abt him. He is starting to sound more and more like a classical singer which is amazing! • he can mould his voice in any kind of song and has the most diversity of vocals in the grp along with chan. • HE SOUNDS CLEAN AS FU*CK IN LIVE SINGING along with han, and his stability (which was one of his weaker points during debut) is now non-existent! He is most stable along with chan. Jeongin- THIS BOY TOOK MY BREATH AWAY! •jeongin has a voice that is rll memorable. His piercing tone gives that spice and brings chills down my spine(a great contrast to seungmin's elegant and relatively powerful voice) I hv heard him in concerts and their is this ringing sensation in his vocal that either rll grabs ur attention and hypes u up or makes u rll emotional, his voice stands out the most in skz. • jeongin has the best vocal glow up. He has acheived a lot of vocal mastery in a short period of time and being the youngest the grp he has the most time to gain more mastery over this. His controll and stability is almost at seungmin's level, and his falsetto is my second favorite after lee know's! His memory of scent cover and other vlive covers truly impressed me becuz they showed that he has rll taken his time and utilised to expand his knowledge and execution in the sphere of singing, and has successfully gotten grasp over many vocal techniques, breath controll, stability, clean and clarity execution interms of vocals. His highnotes are one of a kind bro! I absolutely love when he does them the most in the song. He has also polished his highnote retaintion skill to a very impressive extent. And also his chest voice to head voice transitions are fluttering my heart>.< He has rll grown as a vocalist and his feel in singing is evident! Chan-literally I don't get how this man is real...HOW IS HE SO GOOD? My guru(vocal instructor) listened to some of his vocals cuz I requested to. Chan is the most diverse vocalist ever. And he executes every single vocal just as good as the other. His stability is mind-blowing and his techniques are personally my favorite. His tone is perfect for literally any tone, and is distinct from all the other tones in the grp(this is true for all skz members actually). • his breath controll is absolutely phenomenal and his vocal runs and adlibs and harmonisation are always spot on just like seungmin. He also has a really feel good and comforting voice. • he is undeniably really good at hitting perfect pitch and executing both chest voice and head voice with perfection. I think chan's highnotes are some of the cleanest ever, along with han seungmin and I.n and his retention of the same is commendable. He is a genius when it comes to live singing, cuz he sounds the exact same.>.< Han- • this man has a voice as clear as the water at the glaciers. It's a sweet, clear, and unhinged tone. Rll a perfect voice for having a singing career. He is famously the highnote genius of the grp and I wholeheartedly agree. The man is rll good at retaintion and keep the voice unshaky when it come to high pitched parts of a song. His base voice is smtimes rll husky which I luv, and overall his texture is rll good got any song u put him in. And his breath control and switch of head and chest voice and doing vocal runs is on the same level as chan if not better(these two are rappers but already so good at vocals!) If he takes rll proper vocal training he might become one of the best bg vocalists. He has the most potential along with chan in this grp. Lee know- my man is the master of falsetto and switching voices. (His stability is at the same level as seungmin as of now) his tone is also one of the most unique tones among male vocalists just like seungmin and I.n. his voice reminds me of paradise like rll!!!! Its like I will get lost in his voice its so pretty. He is again a great vocal potential. Who if trained more can ace many more vocal techniques. I honestly need him to sing solely on a solo project or skz record or smth of that sort, where he just goes all out with his vocals.! So in conclusion, skz has a pack of absolutely incredible and compatible vocalists who each bring a different aspect and beauty to the song they sing in. If they ever do a vocal encore of any ballad type song on a live stage it would be the most beautiful thing ever. So I do not understand why anyone would undermine the vocals of this grp.:) Edit- hyunjin and changbin hv shown that they can carry vocal parts. Hyunjin in his psycho performance executes Wendy's part with perfection and in secret secret also he sounds beautiful. Changbin has a rll mature vocal color which in songs like phobia sound absolutely magnificent just like himself;)

His soft vocals are the best but I need to see him sing more vocal lines in songs in his higher voice, inorder for me to make an opinion abt his vocal talents! But I am sure he has incredible potential too! He just needs more training, time and more vocal lines, which I think in the near future will surely happen and I will comeback to edit my comment lol !
