Love your videos. Was having stabilization issues with my 1022 and lsv 34 after August update. Updated 1022 to 37.10 and black box to 2.79 last week. According to Garmin, the 2.79 black box update improves stabilization behavior. Tested latest update this past weekend for approximately 3 hours. Stabilization worked perfectly and everything was back to normal.

My auto setting on pitch didn't work after the update. I had to manually set it. Never had that happen before after an update. I was sitting on a very large school of black crappie, and I didn't want to do a factory reset while out on the water. I may try that before my next trip. I did not try to re-calibrate. I had the same problem with calibration for several outings. I had never had a problem setting the compass with the Force for the 1 1/2 years I’ve had it. I tried using the Force as I always had and I tried using the outboard, no success. We were camped at the lake for several weeks and I tried the process many, many times. I changed my heading sensor from Force to compass before I tried it and it worked the first time. I don’t know if this had always been my problem or if I just got lucky. Others could be doing the same thing.

I have a nitroZ7 18 ft bass boat and tried many ways to calibrate my unit while on the trolling motor pole. Most failed. The one way that works every time for ME is as follows. Have calibration ready to start. Place trolling motor in the water pointing straight. Turn off the power to the trolling motor. With the big engine running, place it in reverse while cutting the motor all the way left or right. Start the Cal The lower in the water the big engine is trimmed the wider the circle will be. Trim it up to get a tighter circle.

I had same issue with my 34. It was still under warranty and Dusty, at Hooked Up Marine, sent it back to Garmin. It’s back to working like it supposed to. It’s something in the 34 transducer, not the unit or GLS 10. Dusty had a fancy word for what’s been going out in em, but I can’t remember what he called it.

@@The_Garmin_Guru Calibrating the Trolling Motor You must calibrate the compass in the trolling motor before you can use the autopilot features. For the best results, you should calibrate the motor on a day with little or no wind on calm water. You can repeat the calibration process if the autopilot features are not performing as expected. Drive the boat to an open area of calm water and stop moving. The boat must be stationary to begin the calibration process. Make sure the trolling motor is deployed (Deploying the Motor from the Stowed Position). On the remote control, select Menu button > Settings > Trolling Motor > Calibrate > Compass. Using the foot pedal or outboard motor to steer, follow the on-screen instructions. This is from the owner's manual bc it explains it better than I can. What is comical is that this stuff feels like going down a wormhole to reach one's goal then you forget the turns you took in the wormhole. lol
