I had this deck and the Faeries Oracle tarot deck fall off a shelf at my feet in a metaphysical book store in Portland Oregon years ago. The clerk said the store was haunted and the faries wanted me to have those. Ive had dreams about the medeival time period and Otherworld my whole life. I had a dream about seeing the Tor as it looked centuries ago when the labyrinth was more deeply carved and dotted with more trees. I was walking from the top to the bottom. I dreamed of meeting Gwyn Ap Nudd at a long table around that same time. I didnt want to wake up after that. There must be a connection in my celtic ancestry from the Stewart or Hillis side.

Wow. I had to pause at the 3:29 mark. I was shuffling the deck, and as you're talking about Glastonbury I randomly pulled a card. No joke, it was the Tor card. That's so cool. Many Blessings to you on this first day of Spring. 🙏🐰⚘

Yay! You got it, that was quick work lol. I smiled when I saw your comment on my video that I had you at the word Glastonbury 😍 I love it there so much, just the feel of it I just feel so different when I am there, like it makes me come alive. As you said, the shops are amazing but it’s not just that, it’s the feel of the earth beneath your feet and for me it just feels magical - can’t wait to go back. I love this deck already, so pleased you got a copy and thank you so much for linking my video too 😍❤️

"The Mists of Avalon" is my all-time favorite book... and I love the rest of the "Avalon" series too. The author (Marion Zimmer Bradley) was a terrible person, but the books are all amazing.

We went to Glastonbury this summer and I loved it there. The Tor is amazing. I am exploring this mystical side but am also a Christian and I love how all these different beliefs can co-exist and we can learn from all, especially there.

That deck, it's so cool ... now I really want it! One of my favorite passages from print: ... Time does not flow in Avalon unreckoned like the passing of a dream, as it does in the fairy country. Yet truly time has begun to drift a little. We see the moon and sun of the Goddess there, and reckon the rites within the ring stones, and so time never wholly leaves us. But it runs not even with time elsewhere, though one would think that if the motion of sun and moon were known at all, it would move like to that in the world outside . . . yet it is not so. Toward these last years I could bide a month in Avalon and discover when I came away that an entire season had sped by outside. And often, toward the end of those years, I did so, for I had no patience to see what happened in the world outside; and when folk marked that I stayed ever young, then more than ever did they call me fairy or witch. -- Morgan le Fay *The Mists of Avalon* (1982)

I had my beady eye on this even before it was released. Clicked buy the second I was able. It is a stunning deck isn't it Simon! I have a lifelong passion for Camelot, in fact everything to do with this deck. Not the book. This deck is perfect ❤ Thank you for showing us a one card purchase =) I have done that also & this deck was one. I saw the Lady of Shallott & my head exploded. Poem I have spent so many hours with plus everything else -- Celtic heaven. x

@@the_hermits_cave it's a novel, it took me about a week to read it. It starts out slow, but it picks up around chapter 3. It's a lot to absorb, so I think taking your time is beneficial. Enjoy if you decide to try it. ❤

Good morning. I just have to get that deck also. I go to Glastonbury quite a bit. Usually for a few days in our camper van and sometimes just for the day. I get the train to castle Cary from penzance where I live and I cycle across. Or train up to Taunton and bus it. If you Google Gwen up nudd the king of the fairy realm card will make sense to you. The people of Avalon re-enact the day when he collects the souls of the deceased on Samhain. I have been apart of this and it’s a brilliant spectacle as is the Beltane celebrations at the beginning of may. Also if you Google Yuri leitch Glastonbury he is a wealth of information and will explain about the Glastonbury dragons which are depicted on the cards. I’m glad I stumbled across your video. I’m now going to purchase the mists of Avalon Oracle cards myself thank you

The Hermit’s Cave Yes Simon... Unfortunately, I’m still undergoing the clinical trial treatment and my immune system will be too compromised to travel long distances. I almost made reservations at The Horse Stables outside of town about a 15 min walk to the Abbey. It looks like a fabulous & peaceful place and the owner seems very friendly. 😘

I have such a fraught relationship with the Mists of Avalon. I loved it as a younger person, but now what we know about the sexual abuse going on in the Breen-Bradley household, I can't even read it in the same light. I'm surprised it's not a consideration for more people, honestly.
