Once again Michonne talks and Rick shuts up actually listens to what she has to say and agrees to her plan I just love their relationship how close they have become and how much Rick values her opinion.

I love how Michonne can tell Rick what to do without much pushback We’ve seen her do it before this was a big moment We’ve never seen something just straight override Rick’s authority like that and the fact that he doesn’t really fight against it shows how much respect he has for her and how much influence she has over him He really does listen to her and they can communicate without saying a word just by looking at each other and read each other well (actually the scene where Rick punches Aaron is probably the only time he goes against Michonne so far they share a look right before while looking at the pictures and after the punch she tells him Just so we’re clear that wasn’t a Let’s attack that man look It was a He seems like an okay guy to me look) It’s interesting that when you see Michonne telling everyone that they’re going to Alexandria not only did no one object (which shows the respect they have for her to allow her to take control like that) but while everyone’s looking at Michonne Carol is looking at Rick to gauge his response to what Michonne’s doing. The broken places that the rest of #TeamFamily are going through Michonne’s already gone through it (she’s kinda ahead of the curve) and since her epiphany after the fall of the prison she’s officially come out on the other side of the darkness She’s been watching the rest of the group and she knows that they’ve been there too long it started when she was listening to Carl teaching Father Gabriel how to survive The final trigger though was Glenn When she saw the mentality of Glenn in WHAWGO the man who’s the moral compass and full of compassion become so jaded angry and broken that’s when she knew that they’ve definitely been out there too long and something the change *Cue Washington Speech* When Michonne is speaking to everyone both as a group and individually she’s speaking wisdom from experience She’s already been where they are and she’s trying to save them from themselves the same way they saved her If that means taking change then so be it Rick’s not the only Alpha (and leader) in that group and we saw that when they first met and he tried to get information outta her by force and it didn’t work. It’s right about Michonne balancing Rick Hershel May have been his moral compass but I always refer to her as his anchor She keeps him grounded and I believe without her he’d be all over the damn place That tiny moment where they’re in the car in front of the gates and Rick hears the children’s voices when Michonne comfortably holds his hand and ask you ready you can see the relief wash over him it almost like she’s constantly stabilizing him On the flip side you can see that he not only trusts her but he wants her to be okay Back in WHAWGO you notice a shift in the friendship Michonne is really affected by the loss of Noah’s community Now Michonne’s not often comforted on the show by others She’s usually does the conformably usually verbally In this episode you see Rick very subtly touch her as they walk pass each other or touched her arm when he wants to talk or check up on her That’s a long way from saying Don’t you ever touch me again when they met back in Season 3 Their dynamics is slowly but surely evolved slowly but surely over the past few seasons The scene where she’s talking about Washington he pretty much has to choose between Glenn (No Washington) and Michonne (Washington) He sees that Michonne is not okay His trust in her despite her argument being based on a hunch and her not being okay triggers the final decision. Their dynamic can probably be summed up in a small moment between them in in the season 4 finale While the group is on their way to Terminus the day after Rick bit Joe’s throat out Rick asks her you okay she responds Yeah without her asking he reassures her and simply says I’m okay She responds I know surprised by her response he asks How she tells him Because I’m okay too Their friendship and dynamics is one of my favourites of the show.

this episode marks the end of the first chapter of the story. I really love how episode 10 showed that with them really coming together and Rick's bad ass „we're the walking dead“ quote as well as how they remembered characters like Dale with little things like Glenn and the RV or Rick talking about Woodbury and Terminus. Even the episodes before with Tyreese's death and Beth they were taking us back to certain characters like the Governor or certain moments like how Beth was struggling after what happened with Shane and the barn, what happened with Mika and Lizzy, the prison etc

It's a whole new show from here on out. I was lucky enough to drive through Senoia Georgia back when they were stilll filming. Got to stand at the gate and see the walls of Alexandria and walked around Woodbury (downtown senoia) Fun fact, woodbury, alexandria, the prison, the big spot shopping center, and hershels farm are all a short drive from each other.

When they enter Alexandria it's amazing because you see the juxtaposition of the Wild dog the wild animal versus the domesticated. Plus you see Rick really enter the Shane mindset of season 2

Alexandria here we come!! Alexandria is a real city near DC in Virginia. So they almost got to Washington DC but are on the outskirts of the city. Let's hope this place is good and legit! Can't wait for you guys to see what's to come!!
@HollowBagel Жыл бұрын
It's not actually that city, though. It's just the name that's the same, which doesn't mean much, since Alexandria is a very famous and popular name for cities.

@@HollowBagel Alexandria is literally next to DC so I'm pretty sure it's named after that. Why else would it be called Alexandria? It could've been Potomic or Baltimore or whatever town is close by

I love the fact that Rick doesn't decide everything alone, when someone has an opposing opinion and the majority agrees, they go with the majority. I think this was so missed in the first seasons where the weight of decisions rested solely with Rick
