Herger who was a producer at the time and rented Luisito Rey and Marcela a house, that they never paid for. The connection you mentioned between Mexico and Spain is the same connection Puerto Rico has with Spain. Both my grandparents on my mom’s side were from Spain and as a matter of fact, the Puerto Rican accent is pretty similar to the Canary Island’s accent. So using the Mexico - Spain relationship means nothing really. He nationalized as Mexican, but he never resigned to the American citizenship, which he only had because he was born in Puerto Rico. He is not a fool, you know. Now, I agree, he is Mexican because that’s how he feels. He loves that country and there is no reason to discuss on that. Truth is, he has not a single drop of Mexican or Puerto Rican blood in his vain. His mom was Italian and his father was from Spain.
