Yeah! Your Burning Man performance! Ever since your building video I've been eager to see this. Thank you for sharing it! Even though it's just parts of it, that was a beautiful show, and the stage looks breathtaking. It must be so liberating and exhilarating to do a show like that, completely by your own design. And your smile at the end says it all. Stay awesome, Thea. I hope you get to do many more such projects.

Thanks so much! All this, yes! And yeah…the video got…a little held up 🤣 thanks for for patience and you are correct - it was a truly magnificent show & experience. Onwards & up, we’re only just beginning 🚀🔥🌱🦋

@@thea_ulrich Hey, no worries. I just figured you held the video back because you wanted to have a good mix of content, while at the same time giving us a cliffhanger (moonhanger?) to keep us engaged. By the way, that journey up there 😅 I'm glad you pushed through it. It sometimes seems our hurdles become the biggest before our greatest performances. It makes me extra glad that everything went this well during your performance.

Enormous props, Thea! It makes my heart melt when artists get to do what they love, on their own terms, and thrive doing so. Same congratulations goes to everyone that makes Burning Man possible, I'm 100% sure there were many Theas going up on their respective moon sculptures, regardless if it was a painting, a DJ set, or so on. Will definitely have to go there at least once in my life. Amazing job!

I was there that year, and completely missed this. I am a recent fan of yours - thanks to Kyle Hill and Revenginieers - but i've been going to the playa (off and on) since 2013. As you mention in this video, I love the event for the community - love, creative, expression, art, and how it all blends together - and it's why I keep going back. While not a welder nor an aerialist, I have helped my camp put together some of our own small art structures (like a small clock tower / viewing platform we used to have), though I've always ready to wield a wrench or hammer, if needed. Keep on burning, and maybe one day we'll meet each other in the dust.

Good job getting to the Playa even though it seemed the world was conspiring against you. I remember some time is the 80's a friend mentioned Burning Man for the first time, and he was saying that this was something he had to do. Don't think he has ever got there, but if I ask I'm sure it's still on his bucket list. What I find a bit irritating is that from what I've heard people tend to be very bad at cleaning up after themselves. Apparently the day after it ends the whole place looks like a disaster area, and very few of the tens of thousands (numbers claimed varies between something like 20 to 75 thousand) of visitors actually care to try to clean up the area. It's one thing to help set things up. That's something a lot of people are happy to do. But packing up they tend to be a lot less interested in. I'm impressed by the people organizing this chaos, and having the fortitude to ride it out and even do it again the next year.

Haha it is definitely like, a cousin at least. I would say it depends on the person’s mentality & how they show up for it. People can, and do, just go to burning man to party in a cool (and intense) location. But there’s a lot more depths from insanely epic art, to community building, to shows, etc. that can be explored and make it a deeper experience if you choose to participate

@@thea_ulrich nice to see 'making,' fabrication, from a sculptural, broader arts perspective.
