I did this too, with some old sweat pants string and a small knife from a camping gear. Before that... The Same Thing With A Machete, And That Same Camping Kit Had A Tomahawk And Smaller Machete. I made the same with an exact replica of the first machete but with a longer reach, and the smaller machete has this too, but isn't likely as long. -Zach

I put a pad lock on another rope trying to practice not hitting myself with it before i make a dart, the rubber cat toy one i made is light and too easy to get comfortable with so i do things out of form and clip myself with the business end at striking forces, cant let bad habbits like that carry over to the metal version unless i want to open my scalp, break a hand, or shatter a knee/testi.
