u dont and wont.. well on a quantum level sure.. sadly people IGNORE BIOLOGY.. as in UR BODY HAS LIMITS BEFORE ITS JUST RIPPING.. imagine 5 horses or 5 cars.. tied to each limb and ur head... then they move in opposite directions... u'll see very quickly are arent stretching far at all before u literally just rip and tear apart.. the second u felt ur arm and limbs stretched to their limit.. YOU WILL LITERALLY RIP INSTANTLY.. also u probably wont feel it.. maybe.. cause i dont think the signals would be able to actual be sent up to ur brain.. they would also just get pulled lol now imagining this happening at every inch of ur body... if some actually saw u fall in and hypothetically could see you the whole time.. would disintegrate before their eyes..

10:22 Isn't there a similar effect to this? Like if you were to travel away from a light source it would seem red-shifted and if you were to travel closer to a light source it would be blue-shifted. I heard that before.
@TheActionLab
@TheActionLab 5 жыл бұрын
Yes if light is shining towards a black hole it will be blue shifted since it is gaining energy as it "falls"
@Luar77
@Luar77 5 жыл бұрын
@@TheActionLab I mean you, and only you, the observator traveling away from or closer to a white light source, it would seem for you that the light was red-shifted or blue-shifted when it's actually completely white
@TheActionLab
@TheActionLab 5 жыл бұрын
@@Luar77 Yes this also happens for objects moving closer or away from us. This is due to a different reason though. It's essentially due to the doppler effect. The waves relatively get stretched wider as an object is moving away from you or closer if they are moving towards you

Thank you very much. For years I've wondered why that if time dilation causes objects to "stop" at the event horizon as observed from a distance, why the black hole wouldn't be lit up from everything that has ever fallen into it. EXCELLENT!

I have alternative opinion. I think objects still can move even if time spopped due to gravitational forces. Time stopped for objects, it means their electrons don't orbit nucleas so objects just completely frozen. But objects can move through space in this condition (light can travel though space even time stopped for photons). So objects falls to the center of black hole in completely frozen state.

And that is what is wrong with our education system. Students should be given the freedom to learn the things they are interested in, because learning just for the sake of learning is fun. Being forced to learn due to external rewards or punishments takes away your desire to learn and decreases how much you enjoy it.

These videos are always interesting and thought-provoking. But I have 2 questions: 1.) The objects going into the black holes do stop in time from the perspective of an outside observer. But what about the the object itself? Its time would keep going, as you mentioned yourself. So would you be able to see the future in an instant or would you not be able to think/observe? 2.) One of the evidence for the Big Bang Theory is that galaxies are moving away from each other at an accelerated rate. We know this because they are getting red-shifted, and that explains that they’re moving away since the farther an observer moves from the light source the longer the wavelength stretches, and the other way around. You explained this by saying that the light would need to get longer because it needs to counter the immense gravity. These don’t really go hand in hand, as the light coming from a source stretches anyway. Can you explain both of these phenomena, like why they happen?
@dosomestuff1949
@dosomestuff1949 2 жыл бұрын
For 1, I, as the subject, would literally be in the future, while u, as the observer, would be in the same present, me and u can’t talk meet or interact with each other ever again. Once I go in I’m gone for good cuz even if I come out I won’t see u. As for number 2, from what I know, the light gets dimmer and dimmer and wavelengths get longer and longer, that’s another way that light can become redshifted, it doesn’t always have to be gravity. I hope this helped. (Not too sure on number 2 tho)
@LordAmerican
@LordAmerican 2 жыл бұрын
1. The object falling into the black hole (BH) would, counterintuitively, see the outside universe in a very similar fashion to how an outside observer would see the object falling into the BH. Everything falling in behind the object would be redshifted and appear to be moving in slow motion. 2. Normally gravity is depicted like bending and stretching on a rubber sheet. That's one (oversimplified) way of visualizing it. GR actually allows for another way to visualize gravity: flow. Imagine water in a river flowing toward a waterfall. At a distance, that flow is relatively slow, but the closer you get to the waterfall, the faster the water flows. This is similar to the space-time around a BH. Once you reach the event horizon, space-time is flowing at the speed of light. Beyond the event horizon, space-time is flowing faster than light. Light gets redshifted as it travels against that flow. If we think of gravity this way, then the redshift due to gravity is quite similar to why light is redshifted due to the expansion of space. It's basically an extreme form of the Doppler effect, in which objects emit light, but the wavelength of that light appears to be stretched because those objects are moving away from us. In this case the expansion of space on the large scale stretches the light as it travels; it's a very tiny effect that adds up over vast distances.
