Enjoy your videos. I just brought home my first trike today. Have ridden the American River hundreds and hundreds of times over the last 35 year. I'm now over 70 now and my health and balance are not the same anymore. It's been over five years since I rode the path but starting tomorrow I'm back in the saddle working my way back. I hope to be able to ride there and enjoy again. Your videos and a bunch others have rekindled the passion I have had for cycling for over 65 years. Thank You.

Congratulation on the trike purchase, Bill! I'm sure we've ridden past each other a number of times over the years on the ARBT! I think you'll be surprised at the number of trikes you'll see out on the trail these days. Careful for the heat this week. I was out on the trail today and I started my ride early, but it got very warm by 12:00. Drink plenty of water! Thanks for watching!

Glad you found it Paul! We did a series of these covering (almost) all of the trail and we put them all together on one long video called "The complete American River bike trail". Not too much has changed right around the trail near Folsom.

Catrike Trail is a beautiful trike! I used to have a Catrike Pocket- Never should have sold it. It was so tiny and light I could pick it up with one arm. :)

@@bikestrikesrazors it was the first generation model with no adjustable seat. I got it because seing you ride on your channel ! I had paid 3500CAD around 12 years ago when US/CA money was at the same value... not the case anymore ! I still have some videos on my channel about it ! Really enjoyed it... now riding a Giant Anyroad CoMax 2016 !

Hey, Steve! I've been to Laid Back several times but it never occurred to me to mention them, as while they're technically in Fair Oaks, they're in the larger "Fair Oaks" area and not all that close to the small Old Town Fair Oaks where we were shooting. They are, however, conveniently located right across the street from my dentist, so whenever I go for a cleaning, I always drop in to take a look at the trikes. :) After you've mentioned it, if I would've thought about it at the time, I would've driven over later and at least shown the store front. Have to support the few trike shops that are around!

Have you tried Bent Up at 11522 Burbank Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601? I know he has a lot of bikes, but not sure of his trike selection (or tire selection).

@@bikestrikesrazors I’ve been there but their store is small and very busy during Covid but they do great work on my trike. I’d like a large selection and looking at a shop down in Orange County to do service on my Gekko 26.

Hey, Jim! It's right off Sunrise on your way to Hwy 50, so next time you're around you'll have to check it out (worth it for the chickens alone). Yep, there were graduating high school seniors everywhere down there that day. Guess it's a popular spot to take photos for the "grads".
