Firstly, congrats to Dustin for an outstanding and entertaining career. He is a great character and was a superstar. He is so humble and yet so confident on field. Best thing for him was to hook up with Dayne Swan, as neither of them give a toss about the AFL, just enjoyed the game in pure form. Now I'll put my Dees hat on. HTF did we go for $cully and Trengove as picks 1 & 2? We could have had Dusty (pick 3) and Nathan Fyfe (pick 20). We got Maxy Gawn at pick 34 (should have gone in the top ten, everyone worried about the knee though, so understandable, but ignored by Melbourne at picks 11 and 18). Admittedly, with the development team the Dees had at the time, we probably would have managed to turn both Dusty and Fyfe into nothing.
