You think people who can’t even Google & verify this information that is freely available from credible sources will then be able to read a book that can’t pass a peer review? It will be filed under historical fiction which is no good for learning but just entertainment.

This dude he is right i am a qualified IT Technician, in which I struggled to get work and had to start my own business from stretch and had to get a shack and also use my savings from my previous job, and my father helping with some cash when I started my business they told me I wont survive and it took me 5 years and I am still trying to get financing from NYDA and other government institution which deal with funding but no luck so had to hustle and Push my business and support myself and my children, and my wife so what he said about the South African education it hit deep because even my siblings once said why would we study while you do not have a job so jah. It is sad that only critical thinkers can survive what about the people who can not help themselves.

Very true what the grootman is saying. We are University graduates that are mechanics! I have come to the realisation that now of late, you need a qualification to increase your chances of atleast getting employment of general work. It's also true that there are graduates that are employed for exactly what they studied, but it's a very small percentage of the graduate population which is ever increasing. Dreams of the voiceless youth are shattered! No solutions, no strategic/physical measures from the government and definitely no real life intervention.

He is telling the truth about Robert Sobukwe being housed alone - solitary confinement -in Robben Island. I visited Robben Island in 2019, the house is still there far from the prison building. After 6 years he was released and put under house arrest until his death in 1978. I think he was a very powerful man and very feared by amabhunu.

PAC did so much to teach their comrades with SA situation before and after 1994. Hence even Verwoed once said, the only prisoner in Robben Island was Prof Sobukwe. Others were just mini criminals. PAC and Azapo cadres have political substance, not the ANC ones who change by whim and wind.

“A generation which ignores history has no past - and no future.” And “those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Those with ears will hear. Like 99% ex-cons on this platform who make the cut he is a good story teller, adding salt and spice to marinate the listener. ‘You know where the danger is’ the hyperbole, the fibs or straight lies pass for truth because the average listener does not read, has itchy ears for gossip and wants to be spoon fed and as a result they are taken by whichever wind blows. He can’t write a history book based on these narratives regardless how plausible and persuasive he might sound because it will not pass academic rigour to be included in the curriculum, details and facts matter #AK 47 for example. To his credit he raises some valid questions (eg quality & focus of education including political, moral decay of society) which any conscious being should want to research and be informed about. However some of his narratives which might sound plausible are fudged i.e. misinformed or what the Americans call ‘alternative facts’. The self protection argument is a delusion. Apartheid was not about a victim trying protect himself but a calculated and evil system of hegemony & sheer greed. The trekboers when they first moved inland it could be argued that act was about running away from the British but anything post the Union of South Africa in 1910 was purely hegemony & they were bedfellows literally, there was no apartness between the English and the Dutch/Afrikaner - the Europeans stuck together. All European colonialists (be it Belgian, British, Dutch, Italian, Spanish etc) wherever they went in Asia, Africa or the Americas used the same racial stratification & relegating indigenous populations to second class & if they are settling and not only pillaging they would banish them to the hostile reservations which can’t support their way of life. To build a ‘rainbow’ nation many people were too eager to depoliticise and take the opium of self service & enjoyment. When people are self absorbed they have no regard for truth or interest of others.
