I’m just getting into offering this service, so glad I found your video! I’m young and I don’t know much about deicer lol where do you get a supply? And do you have more videos about this sprayer setup?

I use Potassium Acetate; non toxic, non corrosive, non hazardous bio degradable, good to minus 40.

Hey can you explain which pump you used and how your wired the electrical . Also how do you turn it on from.the truck
@XOneStarX4 жыл бұрын
You really should consider using some type of spray nozzles. You will build up some pressure in the line which will penetrate the snow / ice more effectively.
@bjgarbacz12 жыл бұрын
What nozzles do you use?
@sprayerguru Жыл бұрын
TeeJet H1/4U-SS solid stream Stainless steel nozzles work great for penetrating ice/snow, you need to size them according to your rate. @@bjgarbacz1

No access to premixed. Have a pallet of DowFlakes. Think mixing my own would work through this setup?

Yes, but get a good hydrometer to make sure you get the mix right.

My set up siphons after pump shut off. any ideas to resolve that. used all the same components as the video except don use the wand
@USMCKidProductions Жыл бұрын
Can you make a video on how the wand works with this setup? Id like to see about building something like this that I can use for sidewalks, but im stuck on the pressure side of the wand. I know the pump will turn on, but does it shut off when you are not using the wand but keep the pressure at a constant psi so when you DO use the wand it will spray no problem and keep the pressure? Hope that makes sense...
@MichaelTheakston Жыл бұрын
The 12v pump I have listed in the description has a pressure switch, so as soon as you start spraying the pump turns on and keeps constant pressure

Why not use "Boom Spray Nozzles" in the holes on the boom? Then you can use less holes, less solution and get even better coverage on the road.. Thats what the Brine truck uses on the boom that does my road..

Problem is you need straight jets to pierce through snow and ice to get to pavement, so mist sprayers will be far less effective.
