Little information to all the Giulietta guys: If the battery loses connection or you use the nice hack, it is possible that you have some errorlights on the dash after that. That is because the Giulietta loses it's steering angle calibration which is simply relearned by turning the steering wheel on running engine from one side to the other completely and after that turning the engine of and start it again. And to Chris: thanks for the video.
@TheAlfaNut Жыл бұрын
Thanks for pointing that out mate - yes indeed the dashboard will be full of error messages after reconnecting the battery but they should all disappear again after a short while! 👍🏻

Hi Steven - yes Alfa just announced a new Giulietta although its an EV 🫣🤢 The old model is reliable, good looking and fun to drive - buy the 2.0 JTDM for great torque on the hills and 50-60mpg on motorway! Don’t buy a Mini Clubman - they are boring, ugly and very very common! (Just my opinion 😉)

@TheAlfaNut Жыл бұрын
Hi mate, simple fix - just charge your battery fully and it should start working again. If the battery is low it doesn’t work due to the power demands of cranking to start. If that doesn’t solve it, your battery may need changing. 👍🏻
@fernandofonseca2033 Жыл бұрын
Hi, there are some preconditions for S&S to work: - battery level/health - make sure you have a recomended battery which are premium batteries (Bosch S5, Varta Silver AGM, etc.) - DPF regen will not allow the car to shutdown automatically until the regen process is completed; - engine too hot, imagine you been pushing hard and coast suddenly, the engine will keep running to circulate oil and radiator líquid through internal engine parts. - If you do short distances most likely the battery won't be able to recover enough energy to trigger S&S.

Hi Karen, thanks for watching! Mr Khan is an enemy of the motorist and lovers of liberty generally! He has many traits that divide Londoners rather than unites them but one of the reasons I’m down on him is that he aggressively expanded the London “ULEZ” (ultra low emission zones”) all over the Greater London area and he charges / fines local people every day that they use their cars. Most people think this is immoral and borders on communist style control. I certainly think that. Whereabouts are you in Oz? This will be coming to a big city near you unfortunately - it’s a globalist move as part of restricting peoples ability to travel. Just my opinion 😉👍🏻

This was hilarious looool. Quality content. hi I'm a new driver in my early 20s living in London looking to buy my first car and my heart has been set on a 1.4tb petrol Guilietta for a long time but my brain is telling me to go for a more economical, cost effective car like a Rio, Ibiza, i30, Fiesta, or even a Mito, particularly for cheaper insurance premiums, good fuel economy etc. Is buying an older/cheaper Giulietta just as good and responsible of a purchase as any of the aforementioned cars? Opinions and input from all would be much appreciated!

@@TheAlfaNutI’m considering buying a high mileage Giulietta qv, any tips?
@TheAlfaNut9 ай бұрын
@mrfooget3714 yes - get the best maintenance history car you can find, check the timing belt history, check the suspension health and make sure all the electrics work. If any of the cheap plastic interior door release handles are broken they are a huge PITA to replace! Check carefully for rust if the car is over 10 years old. They are a lot of fun for the money!
@mrfooget37149 ай бұрын
@@TheAlfaNut Amazing thank you! What areas seem to rust up the most? It’s getting a brand new timing belt at time of purchase, service and mot. The 1750tbi seems pretty reliable would you agree? And is there anything else to be aware of? It has 90,000 miles at time of purchase
@TheAlfaNut9 ай бұрын
Rust can happen anywhere that the car has been damaged, chipped or scraped, so give it a good check over. Giulietta’s are very reliable mechanically when serviced properly and 90k miles isn’t much really. The 1750 engine is great but puts more stress on brakes & clutch so make sure these are good too 👍🏻

@@froggy0162its a Fiat Engine originally , GM licensed it. Its renowned for its general reliability, good performance & great economy I drive 40 miles a day on the motorway and ultimately diesel was the best choice. You talk about pollution but Its not like petrol engines emit febreeze and glitter. Look at the emissions countries like China and India pump out of industry and get back to me. There is zero black smoke emitted from mine and my wifes diesel Guiliettas, unlike what you see on all the ‘premium’ German cars and this is evidenced by the lack of soot on the rear and the MOT test emissions which are always so low it amazes the testers
