First drive in my new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio!

The new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio was shown to the press on June 24, 2015 at the Alfa Romeo Historical Museum in Arese, with "Nessun Dorma" being sung by Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli! With its muscular proportions and pure design ethos of passion, lightness and simple elegance, combining a first-class technical layout and beautiful interior, and with a near-perfect 50/50 weight balance, the all-new Giulia exuded stunningly functional Italian style and Alfa Romeo Heritage. With sporty lines, sculptural details and exuding unmistakable Italian flair, the all-new Alfa Romeo Giulia and Giulia Ti came with plenty of standard equipment, including an all-new 2.0-liter all-aluminum engine with a direct-injection turbocharger and intercooler producing 280 horsepower. 306 lbs.
At the heart of the Giulia Quadrifoglio is an all-aluminum 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged direct-injection V6 producing 505 horsepower, the best in its class and the most powerful Alfa Romeo ever built. The production Quadrifoglio is also the fastest ever, sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. Other cutting-edge technologies exclusive to the Giulia Quadrifoglio, include an Alfa DNA Pro four-mode drive mode selector that includes a Race mode, Quadrifoglio tuned adaptive suspension, a Quadrifoglio instrument cluster with a 200 mph speedometer, and an engine cylinder deactivation system. Additional standard features have been added to the Giulia Quadrifoglio specification for 2022, including a new wireless smartphone charging cradle, an air quality monitoring system, heated front and rear seats, and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. The Quadrifoglio with 505 hp (377 kW) is also part of the Giulia range for the USA.
The use of the name Gran Turismo Alleggerita marks the return of the badge used to identify the various high-performance Alfa light cars in the 1965 Giulia Sprint GTA, the Giulia GTA and GTAm that also appeared in the year Alfa Romeo celebrated its 110th anniversary. Alfa Romeo made an appearance at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show, in the form of the super-hot Giulia GTA and GTAm.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA is the extreme version, powered by the twin-turbocharged 2.9-litre V6 but producing 443 pound-feet of torque and 540 horsepower; 35 more horsepower than the standard Giulia Quadrifoglio, calibrated by Alfa Romeo engineers who modified piston cooling flow and connecting rod design.
Only 500 of these exotic sports saloons will ever be produced.

I’ve had my 21 plate Misano Blue Stelvio Quadrifoglio since July last year. What a car, and the best colour. As for the exhaust note and door glass, yep it does look to be thicker and more sound insulated, so I’ve added the AHM dongle and the remote fob is not left rattling around the glove box or arm rest, it’s in my key ring with the car remote fob. Definitely makes a difference and so so so much better running flaps open in all modes! It’s one hell of a car and a glorious engine👍👍😎😎

@@TheAlfaNut As it’s new I would highly recommend getting a new car detail and ceramic coat, or at the least a ceramic coat. It makes the car pop, lasts at least a year, protects the paint and makes it so easy to clean.

Got my quadrifoglio like yours in blue . Got a Milltek Cat-Back Valved Exhaust with Carbon Tips and remote exhaust fob . Best of both worlds quiet or bloody loud . Car sounds awesome

Regarding the exhaust, there is a middle ground if interested, where you can change the default sound level to anything you like between normal and race by installing a pair of travel stops on the vacuum controlled exhaust valve actuators. It’s fully reversible and it doesn’t impact the way race mode operates since the actuators can still open fully.

Hi Chris, I enjoyed the new video; keep 'em coming. It was great to see you at the Haldon Diner the other Sunday (I have the Vesuvio Grey Quad). I think the first car park in your video is the one at the top of the cliff on the road to Maiden combe. I photographed my first Quad there a couple of years ago. You did well to get the 2021 spec car, personally I wouldn't buy a new Quad because they have dropped the special seats and the coloured stitching. These are both USPs for me. Anyhow, enjoy the car and make lots of videos of it. All the best. Alan.

Drove it for the first time in 2017. Compared to the previous models , this is car was felt like a German Alfa. Composed like bmw but more fun to drive and sharper steering .

Enjoy. I can recommend a x-pipe from Larini Systems in the UK to sort out the exhaust. Alfa added more insulation and thicker glass to the 2021+ models to up the luxury factor.

Don't agree about the high noise of sound. I have the 280 Stelvio....Love it, someone I know has a very loud AR. Each to their own but the Italians do style for sure. Great review 👍

@@josephmifsud8261 get the late 2018 model and lower it with all the mojos required. A friend ( he's single the b*stard) got one in dark red from this time. Admittedly he did some moda but goodness me - it's the best vehicle in its class. I've driven\own most in this class and hats down to the 4 cheese selection.

Also Chris do yourself a favour put Goodyear F1 Supersports or Michelins PS4 on makes the car handle even better especially in the cold wet weather,i put Goodyears on they are brilliant.

Sorry mate but no you won’t - the only coloured stitching you can order in a 2022 car is green and only if you also order the Sparco carbon seats! 😕 It’s a bitch. Unless you can find a 2021-spec car that hasn’t been sold yet? I was just lucky to get a ‘21 spec 2022 car.

@@TheAlfaNut it’s the ahm unit hard wired. If I was fitting one from scratch then it would be the squadra but I think I’d go for the full one, not just the exhaust controller as I want to lower the splitter for cleaning rather than having to unbolt the actuators.
