This is the best new enemy added to the game. Literally EVERYONE who sees it the for the first time just loves him. Hes just a little guy but then he becomes the most horrifying and one of the more dangerous enemies. Everyone follows the pattern of "OOOOOHH BABY" and once he gets outside its over.

There is a door closing strat with shovel to kill it. After it barged through a door, you basically hit it twice and then run through the door it's barged into and close it. The maneater leaps again into the door and you'll hit it again, do this until you fail or maneater is dead.

Would be cool if like, if you fed enough scrap to a maneater, it would eventually grow up to become a "friendly" version that only targets other killable creatures (Brackens, Loot Bugs, etc), though I imagine it would still have a bias for players it doesn't like, and only really protect the one player it did like.

It's nice having the stalking phase cleared up because I was wondering why there'd be times where you could hear it's music/ambiance play and then other times not. Also seeing it chase you is terrifying, I didn't know they had such a simultaneously goofy yet terrifying chasing animation. I love complicated ai like this, I thought I knew a lot about how it worked but I only knew like 2%. This is a big part of why I love LC and find it so fascinating THE ENDING???

There's an instant transform phase. I've seen this in a play through. If a Maneater is hit with a spike trap it instantly becomes an adult and attacks you head on.
