If this goes ahead, Harrogate will be unrecognisable soon. The same thing happened in Fenham in Newcastle which was a lovely place to live in the 70s. A mainly white area at the time with well kept properties, neat and tidy gardens etc. Once muslims started moving into the area they didn't look after their properties, the neatly cut lawns became over grown with weeds, properties became run down and the property value started to drop. Once the prices dropped. More muslims moved in and houses were shared amongst two or more families. The place is a shithole now. The same thing will hapoen to Harrogate. Watch this space.

Same thing happened in our street in Darlington back in the early 1980's, Pakistani's bought a house and gradually ended up buying more in the street, the church was converted into a mosque and the whole place turned into a shithole. They didn't integrate they just made their own communities, used to be great there in the 1970's. Now the whole area is a dump, Darlingstan I would call it.

Dear Harrogate citizens, we Brummies are often overlooked re immigration changes! Make no mistake, Birmingham is surrounded by various beautiful green areas. We who were born in those suburbs surrounding Birmingham 'lost' many of them DECADES AGO! I could relate many 'true' stories about immigration and changes to our areas. As a schoolgirl my friends and I used to walk into the City centre each Saturday from where we lived near Warley Woods, Bearwood. We'd walk the Hagley Road into the City - where we'd visit the museums, libraries and many shops, sometimes go to the Theatre too if we could have the money from parents. I have not been to 'my' City for years now. Many suburbs 'surrounding' B'ham are leafy and green and many were once called 'upmarket' with big houses and lovely tended gardens, but - a lot has changed. Politicians and wokes seem to delight in "changing" our country's whole identity - why? My heart goes out to beautiful HARROGATE if a mosque is allowed. It's the seed that will grow and flourish. Immigration is fine - if the "numbers" are watched - but our POLITICIANS never bothered to "count" and I'm realising now, they perhaps never intended to.

Harrogate, my home town has already been taken over. The demographic has changed hugely over the last few years. Great memories of visiting Harrogate. A beautiful town. Certainly in the Nineties and early 2000's it was immaculate. Betty's tea shop was always a must go visit . And also proportionately White. When they decide to increase the size of a property, planning rules and regulations are completely ignored. Cobbled together extensions are added on gradually over time and the local planning dept., will turn a blind eye. Diversity ALWAYS works against the indigenous people of this country I'm like many others am sick of it. Foreigners need to integrate to our ways bit no its always the other way around. Start voting in the local elections as well as the general elections. Whether you like them or not Reform may be the only option to get us out of this mess. I was born in Halifax in the 60s and it was an OK place to live last time I was there a few years back heard a mosque calling people to prayer...it did not sit well.

The council have been building so many so called affordable houses it’s like a concrete jungle.The only road to Skipton is a bottleneck We’re not all posh and loaded and we don’t all live in Duchy Road. Harrogate has its problems with knife crime and drug problems like any other town and city. Don’t be fooled by the beautiful architecture that’s from another long gone era.

There are many in Leeds, on francis street in chapletown there is a mosque and about 100 yards further up the street there is another one nearly completed meaning 2 on the same street. I wondered how long it would take for Harrogate to go the same way.
