Naruto and Sasuke are very different from each other. While similar, they’re polar opposites. Like Yin and Yang, Day and Night, Sun and Moon… wait a minute. Just as in all times past, Naruto as the Asura reincarnate possesses no dojutsu. Asura has never once possessed any sort of dojutsu, and was always criticized for being useless. But he overcame with the power of his friends. Indra on the other hand was always gifted with everything he did, and possessed the same eyes as his father, the eyes that granted him incredible strength at a cost. A cost Indra was willing to pay. I have always preferred Naruto over Sasuke in all points in time, despite the fact that I liked the Sharingan best. The one time I thought Naruto’s eyes had possibly become even cooler than Sasuke’s was when he got Sage Mode and once again, Six Paths Sage Mode. While I loved Sasuke’s Rinnegan, I always thought it was strange he only awakened one, had tomoe in them which was uncommon, and couldn’t turn it off. I mean, apparently he could in The Last Movie, but after that, it never turns off, and he just has to cover it with his hair until Momoshiki decided to rough house. It’s all fun and games until someone loses a gan. Still, I wonder how Sasuke’s life would have turned out if, like Naruto, he had no dojutsu and instead a Tailed Beast. I mean, there are eight to choose from, nine if we count the half of Kurama that Minato has, and Ten if we count non-canon stuff, such as the Zero-Tails. Obvious naming fallacy. It has a tail, and also isn’t one of the original Tailed Beasts. So, for now, let’s take away Sasuke’s ability to see things really good and instead give him one of the world’s most dangerous pets.

While narratively Isobu makes sense Matatabi would have been a much better fit for Sasuke. Theme wise the Uchiha (mainly in the anime) have some relationship with ninja cats plus their fire affinity would compliment each other.

Honestly I’d want sasuke to keep his sharingan. In this case, he’d see itachi dying before him and will awaken his mangekyou like the original timeline, but then before itachi fully dies, he tells sasuke about the ems and sasuke gets it.

I don't think so, mainly because he doesn't need it. Sage mode and the jinchuuriki powers already trumps most of what the sharingan can do. Plus, it's not an eternal sharigan so it comes with all the disadvantages and cannot be upgraded upwards.

@@deepsavings3126 Tail Beast Regeneration and Hashirama cell is able to bypass the downside of using non eternal sharingan by healing it. It's why we see Obito spam Kamui like crazy because he doesn't have the downside because Hashirama cell heal any injury he might have. The main reason why Itachi ans Sasuke goes blind with their normal MS is because they have non of those.

​@@SaintBeowulf it is weaker. the sharingan allowed him to be on par with kurama who is the strongest tailed beast. meaning isobu is weaker. in this timeline naruto once mastering kurama is stronger than sasuke bc no sharingan. sasuke was offered hokage first for being smarter and faster at at adapting to situations than naruto and was way past the strength requirment still with toad sage, six path and isobu. also with sharingan+rinnegan he was keeping up with naruto in reg timeline :/ so stronger and faster doesnt make much sense bud

I think one of the early events that you left unchanged would undoubtedly change a lot. There is no way in hell Itachi would take the mission to slaughter his clan when he knows the leaf was in talk to rip the tailed beast out of him and kill him. Itachi did everything to protect his brother, he wouldn't take on the worst mission of his life to endanger his life even more than the coup.

Uchiha’s have very potent chakra and strong enough ones can control the tailed beasts with their sharingan…Sasuke being exceptional in all rights. Shouldn’t they theoretically be better fits as hosts than all the random jinchuriki that weren’t Uzumaki?

Yes, Gaara as a kid can handle the first tails, so Uchiha's with high potential are able to be a jinchruiki as kids, only through the 1st and 8 tailed beast, kurama would literally kill any kid that isn't an uzumaki, however I imagine fugaku and the elite Uchiha would be able to survive having kurama for a couple of decaded, kid sasuke not a chance he'd die or be extremely nerfed once obtaining kurama
