Guys, I don’t know if you’ll ever read this but… thank you. Your music has really pulled me through so deep, deep and dark shit. Abusive relationships, friends leaving or dying, a broken family, substance abuse, suicide attempts.. I had every reason to go, but I’m still here. When I’m in a fog, when I feel lost and empty I throw on your music, crank it loud, close my eyes, and escape. It brings me hope, and peace knowing that I’m not alone in my pain. That no matter how low you feel, someone walked the same path and survived. “There is hope in my eyes, there is hope in these words. And there are far too many reasons for you to stay on this earth” is my new mantra. And with this Redux it’s darker and heavier but I think it really drives in the emotion and you FEEL the words. I am following Amity since their first EP in 2005, so I kind of old school fan and "let the ocean take me" was the first creation of band that I didnt like, specifically because of mixing, i dont like how it sounds. But this Redux was really good decision, this album finally opened up to me, I like joels low scream, low guitars and brilliant quality of mixing. But my favorite album forever of the band is for sure "Youngbloods", if you rerecord it with the same quality its gonna be killer, next year will be 15 year anniversary and you can represent this overlooked album to the news fans
