Bro, there is a huge loop in your tutorial!! Just factory resetting in TWRP might not be enough in some cases and might soft brick the device....So make sure you clean flash that is wipe system, cache and data manually. Most roms do wipe them in the procedure automatically but when doing a tutorial, I think you should show them the right way!

Usually The First Boot and soon after setup,android is still collecting resources and setting up itself in the background,it does lags for a while after boot,but after a couple of minutes it smooths out

Yup,As you are taking a BACKUP before installing Oreo,If something happens to go wrong,you can always restore the backup and your device will be back to the way it was .As safe as safe gets

As Shown In the Video.Always take a backup.If you follow the detailed video on installing Rom(links in the description) you will never see a bootloop . So Take a backup and backup that backup :D

when you wipe your phone will your data like contacts Fotos Apps and such still be available and will it still be there after the update? or do you have to restore those things from the backup?

Important Stuff like App data,Contacts,etc are/can be synced with your google account in the 'Backup & Reset' in android settings,that way contacts,etc will be restored when you log in into gmail on the new ROM As for Media like photos,videos,etc stays in the Internal Storage(Internal SD/External SD) which remains intact,No data loss there.Regarding things stored in the flash storage,you will have to backup or move those to the Internal or External SD .Rest Assured Hope it helped Goodday TheAndroidGuy

Installing A Rom only requires a custom recovery.Flashing a custom recovery Usually unlocks the bootloader in the process.Simly follow the guide to installing a custom recovery on your specific device and you will be good to install ROM
