I think I understand why Sam doesn't let these Muslims get a word in, why he always interrupts them. It's because he has heard their arguments over and over that he knows what they are going to say before they even say it and so doesn't even need them to finish speaking before he refutes them.

If the bible is corrupt, then the Quran has no ground to stand on. The previous prophets are the foundation for later revelation. The bible early on invalidates the Quran pretty fast. In Genesis, yes, the first book, the promise of god is given to Abraham, and there's a distinction that God's promise does not go to Ishmael (supposedly the one Muhammad is descended to.) God repeats the promise continually, to Isaac, then to Jacob who becomes Israel. Muhammad is not a Jew, and Moses said prophets must come from your brethren, meaning the promised line of the Jews, not some hypothetical line of Ishmael. Anyway, this is a theological explanation. Anyway, our manuscript copies of the Torah predate the existence of Islam. So do our copies of the NT. We have theology and history on our side against the false prophet of Islam.

I was under the impression that research on the Dead Sea Scrolls had ended the Muslim view that The Bible had been corrupted. I guess old habits die hard.
