The Qur'an explicitly mentions that a woman's worth is half that of a man (Suras 2:228, 2:282, 4:11), refers to women as unclean (5:6), and suggests that a man can engage in sexual relations with his wife at his own will (24:31). Additionally, the Qur'an states that men are permitted to have sex slaves (4:24) and that they have the right to rape women captured in battle (24:31). These are the verses I question.

The Prophet was not black.* (Same reference as 2a, Ibid., p. 387; capital emphasis ours) In the PDF of the book, this reference is on page 330-331 out of 412.
