They came to Athens (Greece) back in 90s (1993 if i remember correctly) as support to Metallica (headliners). They were pissed off because people could not wait for the appearence of Metallica. So they started playing Wild flower with all band members headbanging like crazy. Ian was like a tornado right before first line of the fans. People get excited with their passion and a part of the stage fall apart from the crowd push which gave Ian even more energy !🤘 They didnt stopped headbanging like lunatics until the end of the set. Amazing performance.

Electric is an absolute toure de force of crushing riffs and howling, bluesy, rock and roll greatness. It is so out of place among the cheesy hair-metal bands of 1987, which makes it all that more beautiful. Ian Astbury is like a British Jim Morrison, with a better voice. This IS the best Cult album, thanks in part to the brilliant production of Rick Rubin. A masterpiece, period.

Such a great guitar tone. So good he doesn't feel the need to pad it with note fluff, just hammer that great simple riff tight, hitting it like a hammer on a nail. Love that short but sweet angular solo with the squeling pinch harmonics too. The angular lines kind of reminds of say J Mascis or even Radiohead later on. White Gretsch & & Epiphone Casino for the win - a killer combo. Lyrics about being a Wolf Child do make me laugh a bit though, somehow makes me think of Matthew MacConnaghy / Wolf of Wall Street.

This song hit me in '87. But I've the best koncert in '90 when I saw them playing when I was in 2.year in highschool. Playing as a warm up for Areosmith. 😊
