On another note, the last album by the legendary Miles Davis was hip hop influenced and produced by Easy Mo Bee. That says a lot about Mo Bee as a producer as well as the influence of the art of hip hop. Miles Davis himself was forever evolving and was such a major influence every time Jazz musicians seemed to take the music into a new phase throughout the years (bebop, hard bop, avant garde, fusion, Hip-Hop Jazz), etc.

Most people can't put themselves in someone else's shoes to try to see what's going on with them. Most people are too selfish to show that level of maturity. It's "Oh so you can't speak now. You with a different crew and label now. You acting brand new now. Well okay, "F" you then." But Mo Bee is different. I remember Pac saying on one of his songs off of Me Against The World, "Hey Mo Bee man, drop that "s__t". That's tough so I bet it did hurt him.

Seems understandable at the time for Pac to react that way towards Moe Bee seeing how he was producing for east coast rappers not to mention him working regularly about a block from the Quad studio. This is all evidence of Pac's distrust of the east coast. You also have to consider the fact that Moe Bee admits to not having visited or contacting Pac after the shooting to check on him which would have been a selfless act that would let Pac consider Moe Bee as a friend rather than a stranger. Lastly, I already state it but Moe Bee was producing for many east coast artists so that would be an issue for Pac who was clearly wanting people to take sides of the "beef". Having said all that, I agree that it was unfortunate since Moe Bee seems like a good guy.

Good points but another angle. Pac didn’t need Mo Bee at that point. He was signed to Death Row and we already know how that worked. He had no use for Mo Bee anymore. Pac sought out Mo Bee based off this interview so I don’t think Pac held any animosity towards Mo Bee because he was producing for NY rappers. Producers have to make money some kind of way. Pac was smart enough to understand that. He just had no use for him anymore.

@@charleso5386 I hear you but the interview after my post revealed that Easy Mobee produced "I Love the Dough" with Jay not to mention "Going back to Cali". I think Pac wanted Mobee to choose sides. Good response tho.

@@mwasie Ok but I’m not sure if Pac even heard those songs at the time. Im wondering on the timing.
@mwasie2 жыл бұрын
@@charleso5386 Maybe not heard the songs but it's very likely that Pac heard they were both in the same studio. That info even for that time got back to the Westcoast.

@@mwasie Possibly but I think his overall distrust of NY outweighed everything. I don’t think he had any personal issues with Mo Bee. He lumped everyone from NY into the same category with the exception of a select few (Treach, Greg Nice, etc).

Much respect to Easy Mo Bee a true OG and Legend in the game. He had a real working relationship with Pac and man enough to understand what Pac was going through at the time and not try to make it about him 25 years after Pac's passing and spit on Pac's grave like the rest of these so called legends are doing nowadays,that's not what real men do.

Love EMB. Haven’t watched the video yet, but any time someone interviews him warms my heart. I feel he doesn’t get his dues. “My Block” is still one of my favorite beats to this day.

Real spill Easy. My last moment with one of my closest friends as a child the night he was murdered was not a good one. We were at a low as far as how that friendship was going that particular week. Shit was always up and down between us but we always managed to iron things out in the end.
