I had no idea Tupac had a biological father still living. Until now, I thought Tupac's father was dead. I was shocked by this interview. I absolutely believe what he said in this interview. Everything Mr. Garland said about Tupac not being a thug and the story of Tupac buying $5k boots for that man in the luxury store just to spread joy. I believe that Tupac's mother complained about the size of the house and the car. That's the stuff my father has done to me with nice things I've bought him. I believe Tupac's father ... hands down. I always thought Tupac was just like his mother. I see now, he is just like his father. Very smart guy. Not just street smart, but when he said this legendary artist is dead over a medallion. How does that make sense? I was impressed with his insight. Parental alienation is a real thing too. More importantly, you can feel he truly loved/loves his son Tupac. Thank you for posting this! I learned a lot about life just listening to Pac's father speak. I'm so happy to hear Pac's pops is writing a book. Can't wait to buy it!

Even Afeni’s Shakur husband who raised Tupac was a black activist, he spent years in jail for it and ended up being killed. Tupac almost went to jail for shooting officers who were threatening a black guy with guns… he step out to help out a perfect stranger just because he saw him as a brother. He was raised by an addict mother but somehow ended up achieving success in music, acting, poetry. Tupac was loyal, and hated fake people… he was not afraid to speak his mind or to hide where he came from even when he became a mainstream sensation he stayed the same !

2 Pac... the most influential person, in my teenage years. He opened my eyes to things I had never been exposed to. (I grew up on a farm in the middle of a corn field.) He brought a lot to the music world. One of the few men that impacted the world, and had no idea how much he meant to others. No idea of the changes he brought to many. I cant say enough about him... His death was indeed a tragedy. Another life lost to senseless bs.

@ttully Of course. 2Pac impacted me, in a big way. I had no idea of life outside my small world. I knew of poor, different religions, etc... I had no idea people lived in a neighborhood where they watched loved ones die. A place that people drive by, and never see, or notice. Where kids have to sell drugs (or themselves) to survive. Drugs, abuse... I had no idea. 2Pac expanded my mind, my heart, and my appreciation... in too many ways to count...and he had no idea what he even did that. Others as well. I shared with friends... 😉

Women do that mess all of the time and it’s sad. Because they’re mad. Depending on when you grew up, technology wasn’t what it is today, so if you grew up around mines and Tupac’s era, you couldn’t just get online and find folks ESPECIALLY if they moved out of state. Note to baby fathers: be there at the birth of your child and immediately file a joint custody agreement regardless if you’re getting along with the mother or not because that may change, and she’ll leave the state/country on you, and you’ll never see your child. Be smart.

Yeah my mom and my father met each other in Phoenix Arizona and they were together for awhile and they moved to Oklahoma where my mother is from and my dad lived in Arizona most his life but was from san Diego but they moved to Oklahoma together then i was born in Tulsa Oklahoma then they moved back to Phoenix and around the time i was one years old my mom and dad weren't getting along and my mom took me on my birthday at one years old and went back to Oklahoma and didn't tell my dad and my family had a birthday party set up for me birthday cake and party and everything and my dad told me he had to go tell my family that she took me away and that it was a sad day for them so for 17 years i never saw my dad and my mom never spoke bad about my dad but just said he had a drug problem but always said he was a good man but she didn't realize the pain she had put us through and how much guidance i needed growing up but one day when i was 17 years old my sister came to my house and had told me my cousin found her on Facebook and said that he has been looking for me and my family wanted to get in contact with me if i wanted and long story short got in contact with them and it felt amazing because you gotta understand I didn't ever talk to any of them on my dads side for my entire life my Mexican Chicano side about 10 months later my aunt drove to Oklahoma after i turned 18 and met her for the first time she spent the night talked to my mom and sister and made up with my mom for what happened 17 years ago and the next day i left with her and packed all my stuff said goodbye to my mom and sisters got on the road and went to Phoenix and met my whole family and i never felt that good in my entire life when i met them i felt high because all those years i felt alone and never had so many people and a support system like that then i met my dad it went well wasn't what I expected of course because alot of damage was done I was already 18 and couldn't get the years and time and disapline and guidance I needed from my father but it is what it is but I stayed there for a year and came back to Oklahoma and just been chilling here since then it was 2020 during covid when i went to Phoenix and was going through alot of mental health issues and going to Phoenix got me out of a terrible place and im greatfull for that it wasn't perfect seeing them but i love them so much and will see them again but i neeeded to get away because they all live together and it was always loud and not much privacy and wasn't used to that but it was really fun but after a year i had to get away but at the end of the day it was a miracle they found me i was sure i would never ever meet them or my dad i accepted that and then it happened and it felt like a dream ill never forget it but i do know how important it is for a mother and father is to communicate and to always think about the child because i struggle with alot today becoming a man and learning things that i was supposed to know already and can never get that time back i was supposed to have with my father I could say it was my mother's fault or my dad's fault my mom has told me things about my dad and my dad has told me things about my mom so i don't blame either of them even tho my mom could of communicated better I just don't have it in me to blame her at this point there's things my father did that was wrong but too but it's the past and I have to move on now so just remember to think about the decisions your about to make mothers and fathers that could impact the childs life and future forever.

He consciously aknowledged the actual area and live situation his son was experiencing (He was driving on the hwy and seen the camera's and trailers set up and people.) Little did he even know (his love for him understood a peice of it's purpose being of relevance to the movie set) energy don't lie. And if that's not destiny and higher consciousness in impeccable design and timing idk what is. I think Tupac is satisfied. He left such a beautiful mark.

@@Luvrsplay and again you wasn’t there so you and I and anybody else can only speculate which you are obviously doing. She may have not corrected it because she felt like he was a dead beat. We don’t know the whole story. That’s all I’m saying. She could have lied or he could be lying, we wouldn’t know m. So again @luvrsplay you don’t know you were never there and neither was I , so again you are just speculating. So don’t put your personal life experience with your daddy or mama in this situation, which more than likely that’s what you are doing. Again if you never knew his real dad, his mom, or 2pac then you was never there to know who is lying and who is not. It’s always 3 sides to a story, his side , her side and the truth somewhere in the middle. So you gtfoh with your own experiences trying to emulate it in to 2pacs issue. My husband would never go them many years without seeing our sons. No matter what we may have went through. He would have found any way to get to his boys, nothing would have stopped him even if he had to take me to court to fight to see his sons. It’s many men who will fight to get to their son, it’s some great men and dads out here who will fight tooth and nails even if as you are saying Afini was the issue. But that’s just me speculating, I was not there to know about them, and yes I heard the rumors too and PAC also said it. I believe some of the things the father is saying but not all and like I said 2 pac mom is not here to defend herself and neither is Pac and only his real dad side is left to tell. I wish Dr Mutulla was still here to tell his side about what he saw in Afini and Mr Garland situation when it came to PAC, I guarantee you it would be a different story than what Mr Garland is telling. Amazing interview. ❤His Dad seemed very genuine here. Man, Tupac looked just like his Father, Tupac has his Father's tone in his voice. He looked like his Mom too but yeah you can tell this is his Father. His Dad looked like he took very good care of himself throughout the years. I'm glad to hear that Tupac forgave his Father and didn't hold a grudge that he wasn't in his life.

That's exactly what Pac said. He woke up in the hospital? and "looked up to see a nga that looked just like him" and said he knew it was his father right then.

I used to talk with Billy on Facebook. Id merged Van Gogh's The Starry Night with a pic of Pac with his head in his hands and sent it to him, and he told me thank you. Like many people have said, Tupac kept me sane through very bad times, and continues to do so. I told Billy that, and I hope he remembers and knows his son saved countless people. Love that dude and he should still be here.

Big fan of tupac. And seeing his father and listening to him. You can hear tupac in his voice. And seeing that his mom and dad are very awesome parents. That explains how he was so respectful to anybody he came in contact with. And the poet writer that he was with music.

The fact that he doesn't exclude himself from the list that fucked up Tupac's life means he has had his fair share of regrets, and wished Tupac stayed alive a little bit longer for them to get to know each other better. Wish Afeni talked about her flaws too towards Pac and the world, & not let everyone put her on a pedestal like most have always done coz no one is perfect.

“Listen to this man. He is saying things that make sense. That touches the soul of every person in America. And He was a leader, and he had a large following… and I think that might have been a contribution to his demise.” -Tupac Shakur’s Father ♡ I always felt that, that is exactly the reason why they took his life. May he rest Peacefully.

But the loss of time was his choice though. He said that he stopped going around as much before Afeni even moved. He said he didn't get Tupac nearly as much as he should have. When he decided to check back in it was already too late. They were gone. It's his fault he lost contact with his son. Not Afeni's, his. And I'm glad that he's taking some accountability for that.

Women will switch the narrative up so good that it sounds believable, and by the time the truth unravels it be too late. In all discussions it must be kept real, and there are a litany of men whose been put in the exact same situations.

And I 100% agree that the record labels played a big role in the murders of Pac and Big.. Both artist were planning to leave their record label to start their own labels...
