I've struggled at chipping for years, I've tried all kinds of ways I've seen on KZbin, I started doing this at 6:25 about a month ago, and it has helped tremendously .I do this while i play.I keep my right arm tucked in as i chip and just use my body.I moreless do the same for my putting also.

Alex! Although I enjoyed this video on "the Best Chipping Tips" it looked like you was hitting the ball off a "fluffy" lie. Here is Southern California, we are in the midst of a draught situation and we don't get too many fluff lies anymore. Their more like "grassless lies." More dirt than grass. I'll try your shallow backswing approach but maybe with a less lofted club than a wedge. I like the thought of the body being in control of the shot! Always enjoy your videos! Keep up the good work!!

Yes! The goal will be to get the leading edge striking but not digging. The tips will help t Bought it also check the bounce on your wedges. Too much and can be tricky

Although I won’t disagree with anything stated, I feel the club bounce in these shots is the main focus Because the club is designed for it.

what club do you recommend chipping with? i have PW (46ish), 52, 56, 60 in the bag
@TheArtofSimpleGolf2 жыл бұрын
Try starting with strongest (pw) and get comfortable with basic shot and no triCk lies or being to fancy with height. Then work way up lofts

I only listen to metal, my tempo is 256BPM all the time. Can I apply that to this chipping drill?

Chipping yips and or putting yips are 95% mental. Until the mental approach is conquered practice and technique will remain 5% of the challenge.

Mr. Rose is a successful professional, so I will listen to what he says, BUT I do not agree with about half of it. The truly great chippers, like Raymond Floys for example, were all about using their hands for feel, not trying to deaden them.

The tip is fine but taking seven and a half minutes for a half minute tip can easily lead to the student losing the main point. I don`t know any tip givers who adhere to the less is more philosophy.

It’s important to know if one needs it and why. That’s how real change stays. Tip to tip and bouncing around quick tips is what is really hurting a lot of golfers 🏌️♀️ improvement

What are you talking about? This video is FULL of tips. I'm a 12 hdc getting back into the game after a bad injury. This video is SO helpful. Maybe not for you, which is fine. But why be so critical? If you don't like the video - if it isn't getting to the point as you want, move on to another. That's what I do.
Yes but for 80% of players the margin for error is too slim

I have watched a lot of your videos?? I’m an ex film producer. You go on and on. Far far too much talk. Whoever is editing your videos should know. This video should have been no longer than 2 minutes.. I get totally bored. You say in the video less is more??? Listen to your own words

Always trying to improve not just the instruction but the delivery. But it’s also key to not just provide tip after tip. Knowing if and why it’s applicable to oneself is important to illicit real change. A chipping lesson with any coach would be more than 2 minutes. But I appreciate your input and expertise. Thanks I’ll e devour

I use a PW (47), GW (52) , SW (57) and a LW (60). The LW always goes straight up so I consider it a last resort in case of emergency club. My GW works for me.👍👨🦳
