My budget related issue was because 1) training is expensive and definitely necessary and 2) renovations are expensive and definitely necessary and both are required for a new permanent addition to our household. I'm going to hold off on adoption until I get some of my big ticket items knocked out but I'll definitely keep my eye out.

I absolutely love Beagles. ❤️ After my first Beagle passed, I didn't want to go on (she was my first dog EVER and I never knew a love like that before)! Five momths later, I was driving home from the doctor and I heard a voice tell me, I HAD to go to the local animal shelter. Long story short, a lady had just dumped her eight month old Beagle puppy at that shelter. As soon as I saw her, I broke down and she jumped in my arms like she knew me! I've had her six years and I know Civic (my first dog) sent her to me. Lily (my new Beagle) absolutely saved my life. She is my angel baby sent from heaven. I truly believe "your" dog will find you. 🐕 God bless you, Asher House (Lee), for all that you do! ❤ May God continue to protect, provide and bless you. 🙏🏻

I love the fact that the dogs rescued by Lee can now get medical care, that is huge, very few places can/will take on medical expenses for rescued animals and there are many in shelters suffering various painful conditions with no money to treat them, with euthanasia their fate. For all those who contribute to the Asher House this is where a lot of your money goes and it is well spent, you should be proud of yourself for directly helping end these animals suffering.

After the stressful week I have had at work, coupled with the 114+ degree heat, this just warms my heart. Seeing how the newcomers were welcomed into the pack with open licks and butt sniffs and seeing them all crashed on the couches and beds. Couple of the more mastiff looking corsos with docked ears looked like they had been in some bad fights. I hope they weren't used for dog fighting or bait dogs. They are such cuddle pups despite what they have been through.

I have a Cane Corso in my local park, which I see on a regular basis. What a lovely breed, relaxed, and confident, and boy can they run. Be prepared to grab hold of the nearest tree! Look at your dogs, confident meeting new people for the first time and showing affection 😊
