Since 2012 I have rescued nothing but senior pitbull death row dogs, including one who was stage 4 cancer with 3 to 6 months left. They all still have a lot of love to give. I'm blessed to have had them all in my life. Looking for that special boy now to fill void from losing Riley recently at 15. Got him age 9. Seniors are the best.

I watched a rescue last night. I never cried so much, a couple of hours. A elderly shepherd been on a chain for years and was hurst terribly by a bunch of kids. They never expected him to live. Had severe damage to his back and legs. They found him and took him immediately had him assessed. The vet was not sure. So the rescue group took him to another one. They were going to operate. It took like 6 mos for him to recover but he did and they took him home. After that he could not quit smiling. He love being in the sun and being out with the others. After all that he went to bed last nite and passed away in his sleep that nite. He was so so sweet anever wanted anything but love and he got all that and much more. He went to bed happy with his other friends and passed peacefully in his sleep. Lee thank you for all you do giving them a chance and the love they need🐾🥰❤️💛💛💙🎈🙏🏻👏🏻😻💕🌷⭐️🦋👋🏻🎁👍🏻🤩

Maybe one day the Asher House will be able to have branches in multiple locations? Obviously the better option would be for things to change so that animal shelters have no need to exist but I think that is wishful thinking 😢

Great video as always Lee. We got our baby, now named Teddy, cuz he looks like a teddy bear, from the euthanasia list at Apple Valley California on his very last hour. Not his last day, his last hour! A rescue here in Washington grabbed him and we got him from a lovely foster in Oregon. He is a most wonderful addition to our family.

It's highly disturbing that unscrupulous breeders to breed dogs out of pure greed and ignorant people continue to buy those animals instead of adopting from shelters and rescues. The other problem is the cost of pet care has skyrocketed. And animals pay the price - always.

To each country their own and where I'm from, we love our animals; pets, domestic and wild and try protect them. Yes a catch 22 but so twisted and again thankful for those who do their part like the AH and all others around.
