You need to question why democrats are funding 7 dummy trucking companies. Trying to implent new governing technology. It limits speeds in certain speed zones and is controlled by the dummy trucking company. The commies plan to use this same lame technology in fuel cars. To deter you from purchasing a combustable engine. Ask the questions of the commies attempts to pick and choose who they want to succeed. Brokers are also dummy corporations. Funded by government. Take a look at the DOT weigh scale stations. Notice how they are not being used very much. They are allocating the DOT funding to oppress all truck drivers. Grow a brain.

Broker transparency does nothing. Keep brokers out of the industry, have shippers have their own load board, or use one where truckers can get loads from. If brokers are actually making more then please explain this. Freight Brokerage Closures: By the Numbers. The freight brokerage industry lost 181 brokerages between November and December 2024, adding to a tough year. On average, 257 brokerages closed every month in 2024. The industry now has 2,900 fewer brokerages than expected based on 10 years of growth trends. This marks an 11.6% decline in active brokerages over the past year, though the five-year growth rate is still up 20.7%. It is suggested that many closures are from brokerages launched during the COVID-19 boom, which are now struggling to stay afloat. Why? The industry is shedding excess capacity, Brokerages are experiencing drops in volumes and rates and Brokerages are tempted to use capital from Asset Based Lines of credit to fund operations.

Let me tell ya an OTR driver should be bumping 250k for the time away from home. The stress he/she puts on their body and the harassment from cops dispatch 4 wheelers shippers/receivers radio rambos, and the list goes on.

@@jamesbobo5377If everyone should be making these similar high pay rates, wouldn't collective bargaining give more leverage to truckers? And the solidarity of truckers refusing to take lower freight rates would necessitate higher rates to attract the coalition.
@jamesbobo53774 күн бұрын
@VictoriousGardenosaurus I got my CDL in 1991 trained by old timers and listened at the low bar, the professional truck drivers tables at our home away from home truck stops all across America in the 90s and I can tell you that the drivers of the 60s 70s and 80s were a higher caliber than we have now. The majority of drivers that are out there now have not a spec of professionalism and certainly have no comradery. When you mentioned collective bargaining, this is foreign to me. And I don't have an answer because I don't know the ins and outs of freight. All I know is Jimmy Hoffa is dead, the old drivers then said all along there would be a handful of mega carriers, the owner operator would become extinct, pay would only go up enough to keep a driver long enough to get the next load to it's destination, and train the next generation to not care about the other driver and have no pride in a profession that EVERYONE relies on. It's systemic in all professions, I'm afraid. My 2 cents is to have pride in what you do, know your worth, and be humble enough to listen and learn something new. I really loved trucking and hope it can be fixed.
