💥What Do You Think?💥 I believe ASMR could be used to compliment existing therapies for mental health but so far academics & health professionals have overlooked it. I'm a Dr of Psychology & I have decided to conduct some research to prove my theory. Will you help me by completing my research survey? This is the survey: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/TheASMRPsychologist-1 So far nearly 3,000 people have taken part in less than 3 weeks and the more who do the more power the results will have, so please share the link if it feels right to do so with . Thank you for your help, I will try & keep you updated on how things are going. Warmest wishes xx

@Jessica Kristensen We are trained as scientist practitioners aren't we Jessica? Doesn't that mean we should always be looking to explore and advantage the field of Psychology. How else do we expand our knowledge and improve existing treatments if we don't step outside of what is already known. Evidence generating practice is at least as valuable as evidence based practice. I am surprised and disappointed that a psychologist would drawn such a strong conclusion without first doing some research.

@@TheASMRPsychologist Don't worry about her, she's obviously a troll. We totally understand and appreciate the value that you bring to this community, especially with your background. These videos are great for sleep and relaxation, even if they don't resolve medical issues :)

@Jessica Kristensen I think your the one insulting all the psychologists, honey. And you're also embarrassing yourself. I doubt you have a degree if you lack the brain cells to understand that a psychologist can also do ASMR.

I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am to have found your sleep hypnosis videos!! I find it very hard to relax and clear my mind and have tried hypnosis for anxiety (worry) several times unsuccessfully. When I came across your videos it was a wondrous day! The combination of your beautiful skilled therapy with the ASMR style is a perfect fit for me! I can be comfortable in the privacy of my own home and listen at the appropriate time for relaxation leading to maximum absorption and peaceful sleep. You are BRILLIANT!! This HSP/INFJ is forever in your debt! You are part of my nightly ritual. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! ❤️

I think it's working! I've watched this one 4 times this week when going to bed, as per your suggestion. Up to now, I couldn't write a "plot summary" if I tried, but I think it's having an effect. The more I watch it, the more tingles I'm getting! I'm starting to become more accustomed to hearing you and I'm getting more of a feeling like you're a 'trusted person.' Thus, I'm relaxing more and more during the videos. I wasn't excessively worried about the coronavirus to begin with, but I feel even more calm about it these days, more like it's an inconvenience rather than some big looming issue. Thank you as always for your wonderful work, Dr. Emma!

I’ll type this before I fall asleep straight away (like I did last night): I can’t tell which “hair” is cuter - yours, or the lamp’s 😉 Thank you for reminding us that we are not alone. Your videos have provided a much-needed “pressure relief valve” to the giant pressure cooker that the globe has currently found itself in. To that, I say thank you, and also “sighhhhh....” 🙏

I've just done your survey, would be really interested to see your paper when its published. Good that you're looking at the science behind it. I've had this since i was a child but it wasnt categorised as ASMR then.

I would like to just say that it is very relaxing and sometimes even tingly when you do the up close, ear to ear whispering. I hope you will consider doing it some more in your videos sometimes or maybe use it when you're doing sleep hypnosis. It is lovely

Another video :3 I'm so happy about that yayy. - happy to have you comfort me :) grateful for ya. - I love the background kind of white noise, I'm not sure where it comes from, like the gain on the microphone or something - but it really makes this sound lovely. - what is right to you; an interesting philosophy :) - nothing is all one thing, and nothing lasts forever. thank you for the lovely drifting off ending :)
