Jupiter in ♍👧 In Stoychev's contemporary exaltation scheme, Jupiter is both exalted and exiled in Virgo. We think of Virgo as having the 'practical wisdom' of Pallas Athena, accrued through disassembly and critique. I use "Prudence" as a keyword for this placement. I also think of Jupiter's red spot - it's bloody wound - and the tragic splendour of the Priest-King. This burden, like the Sacrifice of Christ (or to a lesser extent, the evangelical counsels of perfection), would most certainly be exalted in the sign of Virgo, the pious nun.

My son is a Pisces sun and sag moon and rising, and has Jupiter in libra in the 11th conjunct MC. He is only 4 but everything has to be BIG with this kid. When I ask him what he wants to be when he grows up he just says HUGE. He takes enormous bites of food (like ridiculously big bites but he just likes it that way 🤷‍♀️). He also is popular with his friends because he will rig up all the bikes in the play yard so he can pull multiple friends around all at once. Excited to see how his Jupiter plays out through his life. My daughter also has an exalted Jupiter in cancer and is extremely generous, almost to a fault sometimes. Loved this talk, thanks!!

It’s so interesting that you mentioned @39:00 law of attraction and how it comes naturally to some people with Jupiterian energy just based on their optimistic nature. Great talk :) . Samuel was a great choice for a guest, love his sincere voice and critical thought approach and his contributions on the old 'Pluto' episode too. As Jupiter is the only planet that exerts a force on the Sun strong enough to pull it from its center point, the themes of expansion / aspiration and deep knowledge maybe in fluid dialogue with the creative will of the Sun. I have Jupiter Conjunct Uranus. I don’t feel like conjunction has been written about well. Nothing that I seem to find online seems very accurate for my observation of this conjunction for me. It’s been a lot of really big accidents that destroyed the entire life that I once knew that comes from this transit. I’ve also considered this the aspect largely responsible from death being my biggest teacher. The death of my friends have served as spiritual awakenings for me. I hate that this is considered such a lucky aspect because I have never really had a lot of luck in my life at all. I don’t consider myself lucky in any shape or form other than the people that have been in my life that have died. I am lucky to have known them and to have had them in my life. Jupiter Uranus is something I’ve been studying intently since 2008 when I first learned about it more in depth! It’s influence on music and culture is huge, though I made a 45 minute montage of music that came out during this Conjunction over the years, and there are some really interesting themes that you might not even think about being very Jupiter Uranus until you think about them. For example, birds, raccoons, or other wild and free animals being a theme on many albums for decades during this conjunction. I am not really looking forward to next year’s conjunction. The one in Aquarius killed my friend Kim after a high speed car chase. The one in Pisces killed my friend Melissa. Both in car accidents ironically at my birth the car did not work and had to be pushed to the hospital by my entire family, there was not an accident that I was aware of except for the fact the car didn’t work because there was a giant blizzard. The next one is Squaring my sister’s sun and my other sisters north node so I’m like 100% convinced they will die in a car accident. Mercury again will be retrograde. Mars will be squaring my sister’s nodes of fate. Saturn will be on my Venus. Pluto is on my sister’s descendant. Jupiter has always been death for me. Neptune will be on my sister’s Saturn. It will also be a Mars return for me. Very very scary stuff.

Samuel is pretty fascinating and I hope he appears more in the future. I agree that humbleness is something that gets bestowed on a person rather than something anyone can manifest within themselves and I also agree that it can happen while acknowledging something greater than oneself, though I think it happens more out of fear of something greater than oneself like natural disasters or disease rather than something aspirational. Lol. I grew up on a dairy and then a beef farm with 2 siblings. My father is now 97 and I am the youngest and am 57. My Jupiter is in Taurus in 4th whole house. Jupiter on Leo Ascendant, Sun on Taurus Midheaven 10H here - when I was very young I was called bossy. It wasn’t until a few people called me arrogant and I was getting into astrology, that I took a closer look at what all that was about. Pluto conjunct Jupiter + Mars/Chiron opposite Jupiter made for even greater impact on others than I had ever realized. My spiritual practice over the decades has incorporated being able to acknowledge with humility the gifts I’ve been given and exercise this native magnanimity towards my own and others’ upliftment.

13:00 Love this description of Jupiter associated with Mercy and Grace. I have Jupiter in Pisces ♓opposing my Sun.. I can vividly recall the moment I felt touched by Grace at an early age. It came with a recognition that I was 'apart' from my family. I should look into which year this occurred...over 45 years ago, born in '62. And being in the 10th house , "Preparation meeting Opportunity" describes well how I have obtained employment. I don't think I've ever gotten a job by applying, but through word of mouth and being prepared for opportunities as they presented themselves. Most notably during its return to Pisces in 98/99 when, as an older graduating college student, with children, I was determined to be a 'must hire' by a company that I went on to work for, and comfortably provide for my children as a single parent for almost 15 years.

I forget from whom I learned this. But my understanding of Jupiter is that it indicates where we place our faith. And because we place our faith there, the matter in question grows. This can be a good or bad thing. If we had faith in drugs = drug addiction OR pharmaceutial researcher. If we had faith in food = overweight OR respected cook or chef. I have Jupiter in the 9th house locked in a stellium with Mars and Pluto all in Virgo. I put my faith in WRITING. And it has been an up and down struggle. My jupiter, ruler of my 7th house, is in leo, very tightly conjunct pluto & IC. It also tightly sextiles my sun & neptune. Jupiter is also squared by saturn.

I have similar placements, sun on the cusp with 1122, Leo moon and scorpio mercury station direct, Zeus star in the fishes, with the bull rising.

My Jupiter is ♓ in my 8th house 👀 I really enjoyed the podcast, but I just wanted to interject some input. People who have never truly suffered typically do have empathy, probably more readily available to them than the rest of us. They're just sheltered, and that's when often they can disbelieve somebody talking about their own suffering. It would shatter their world view, so it's more comfortable to stay within that bubble. However, people who lack empathy are always victims of trauma, typically in early childhood, when you are your most empathetic. They can't be open to emotions because then they'll be hit with the emotions regarding what they went through, which is completely overwhelming and makes you feel like you're going to die. Ironically, a lot more people than we think aren't engaging in empathy. We can see and hear the people who exert callousness or cruelty. But there are so many people who experienced trauma that limits their ability for empathy. The 'unseen' people without true empathy just learned how to simulate it, so we can have relationships and love. And it's not even really an act or anything. It just became a way of being to survive.
