As an educator and pretty competent acting teacher for teens this video, although made in 2014, is heart rendering to watch. In the states it's almost impossible to get non-privileged youth to do any of these things. Average youngster lives in a "culture of fear", and a distorted test-centered reality where none of this has any meaning in their lives. Trying to play actor's games is akin to trying to extract teeth. And the fact that this acting teacher was a dude is even more amazing. In New York almost all of the acting teachers I have seen for youth are women for obvious reasons. It's shear madness. I am honored my friends took their children home to raise them in Ireland. Things are just not up to scratch as far as I'm concerned.

It's an acting game to help the students learn how to improvise. When a new character gets on everyone has to find a reason to inflict the same emotion (at least that's the rule in my classes). It's not reaching for realism, it's just a way to show students this concept and have them practice it. So yes, they walked through the bus, otherwise, the students did well and it's a good game concept.

Yeah, the OCD part of me was annoyed as well. Lol. Plus they weren't super creative. Still a great activity.

@@siena1169 Yup. That's understood. Still fun to critique it. Lol. Some of us are the types of people who meticulously put cookie trays together and get upset with ourselves when gorgeous cakes we make aren't perfect. I'm a weirdo.
