Stupify was the first Disturbed song I heard on the radio.. followed shortly afterwards by Down with the Sickness. That slightly quieter part in the middle of this song, seems like David's cantor training was coming out. Disturbed has quite a lot of songs. One that comes to mind, which I've never seen a reaction to, is 'Overburdened'. Rather slow, but very heavy.

This song was my absolute favorite song from them on their debut album when it was released when I was back in high school. I became a fan of the band because of this song. Another song from their debut album that was my next favorite and I believe that it's so underrated is their song "The Game".

True that! That would be very frustrating for a FOH tech. Cupping the mic is another no-no. Of course it is perfectly fine when shooting a vid.

It’s actually fine to hold the mic cord that way. The problem is when holding it leaves no slack at the connector, which pulls out the interior wires. In layman’s terms, it’s like wrapping your corded headphones around your phone tightly, or leaving a bit of slack at your connector before doing that.

This was Disturbed's first ever music video and it made it on MTV in 2000 and gave Disturbed a 5x platinum debut album ('The Sickness') which also produced the singles - 'Down with the sickness' ... 'Voices' ... 'The Game'... 🤘🤘🔥🔥 In 2002, Disturbed's 2nd album 'Believe' went to #1 on the US charts... despite MTV banning the music video for 'Prayer' because it depicted buildings falling from an earthquake in L.A. and they felt it resembled the Twin Towers coming down in the 9/11 attacks... they did release more singles - 'Liberate' ... 'Remember'... (My fave was the song 'Awaken' from that record) 🤘🤘🔥🔥

Here's a lesser known fact about this song that makes it even more incredible. The part where the melody drops and David sings "Tefached" is sorely under-appreciated. Tefached is Hebrew for "be afraid". So, he is chanting be afraid, while in a straight jacket, and follows up with don't be afraid.
