For verzik I can give two tips that can help noobs starting out. First, during P1 if you are uncomfortable with the timing for attacking verzik and hiding behind the pillars. Just mage her, don't die in this phase (I died multiple times before getting the timing right). 2nd: be careful before lowering verzik's health below 20% in P3. Usually, after webs she will be close to triggering tornadoes (below 20% health), just get off the boss, spread out and start healing. Heal all the way up to 110, while waiting to yellows to spawn and getting to one. Use your restore, and your super combat pot. Once yellows fall and hit you, then go charging at verzik. Use claws and chally if you don't have enough for double claws. During this stage your order of priority should be: 1-Hit the boss (do not waste time overhealing or doing nothing), 2-Don't let the tornadoes hit you (healing verzik is BAD, it is better to die than to heal her if you are a learner, because if you heal her once you will probably let nadoes hit you again and again.) 3-Do not die. Dying drops purple chance and makes the fight harder. But not doing damage and healing the boss is worse. A good strategy to heal during the fight is to combo eat (food + sara brew), if you only brought sara brews use a brew and a super combat, brew and super combat and so on.

Loved the video. Me and my friends have been gearing up for tob recently so this came out at the perfect time. Do you have an estimate of when the videos for the remaining roles will be released? We are trying to decide if we want to wait till they are out before we start learning.

Good video but for me the hardest part about learning tob is practicing. Feels like a a closed loop of not finding a team because I’m inexperienced and not getting experience because I don’t have a team. Don’t really want to deal with the “we do raids guys” because in my experience they’ve been toxic and I don’t want to get flamed while learning. Seems like the best way to learn is to just have a bunch of friends who know how to do the content

Yeah i understand that is one of the hardest parts of getting into tob. Very hard to find those early teaching teams. I made a discord server where I hope we can get a handful of people who are willing to help mentor new raiders, and I hope those new raiders are willing to pass it on and continue to mentor new people themselves. A helpful community would be beyond amazing! Feel free to join my disc, we are fairly small RN (roughly 200 members), but will continue to grow with time and hopefully we can start running plenty of tob!

That bloodmoon weapon (Dual macuahuitl) is really good for Nylo I think, but I havent used it myself yet

@@VideoGameBot it would be an interesting video to see you trying those out. The atlatl scales up with str lvl and str bonus, and macuahuitl becomes 3 tick sometimes in 0 defence should be insane

One other bite of info is that verzik is significantly stronger than all other rooms, particularly her final phase with the tornados. You can save yourself a bit of headache by practicing verzik phase 2 bounce in entry mode, just unequip your weapon.

100% i totally recommend doing this. This is also how I learned to scythe walk xarpus (i have a video for that, where we learn in Entry Mode doing exactly what you just said [with a 5 tick dramen staff bashing him with melee lol])

Some constructive criticism 1. Tell us multiple times that orb order is important, but not WHY its important (seriously i dont know and im 20kc) and when on orb order you should enter or not certain rooms 2. Mention that youve to move around at maiden to avoid blood splatters, and to move to avoid tomatoes. Otherwise a nice an chill simple explanations for noobs

That's good feedback. I'll go into better detail about the orb order in one of the mage videos, as it pertains to the mages. To make a long story short: orb order affects aggro on maiden. Melee + range is often very close to the boss, becoming designated tanks. Mages are often far from the boss, meaning they are not tank and their HP remains high. Near the end of the fight when the mages run in to finish off the boss using melee, they can actually pull aggro from the boss, which could save the MDPS or RDPS from dying, thanks to them being top on orb order. It gets a little more complicated than that, which I will try to describe in the mage vids, but this Is the gist of it

It also becomes even more important in HMT (we aren't there yet) because if maiden attacks the same person more than 3 times in a row she will do bonus damage. Therefore mages need to be constantly pulling aggro even between crab phases. Orb order is how this works as well. I didn't go into huge detail because it's not really the MDPS concern; it's a mage mechanic. Mage video is coming next, as it is (imo) the most important role in TOB. But MDPS is the easiest, so it was released first.

You brought a stam in, didn't use a dose, then bought 2 brews from bloat chest. If you had replaced the stam with another brew, you just buy the stam at bloat and would have saved 2 points. We don't bring stams into tob. Also whipping maiden is terrible, if you do not have a scythe, you should be tbowing or blowpiping

I almost always bring a stam in. Can't tell you how many times I've walked into verzik and someone on the team is like "I forgot a stam!". It's one less thing to think about, and its convenient. Didn't need to sip a stam for nylo because luckily our RDPS pot shared one, which was pretty cool of him. Budget run, none of us had scythes or tbows for the run. NGL I've never seen 4 people BP'ing maiden before, but if you say it works, I won't say it doesnt :P

@@VideoGameBot 0 defence maiden, bp ddarts void range avas is 13.12 dps. Whip with max melee (torva, ultor, 157 str) is 11.15. It is significantly worse, so imagine the dps with void melee. Learners need their points, they will die multiple times before they get to the sote chest. They should not be wasting points buying a brew at bloat instead of a stamina. That 2 point difference will be the difference between them having another supply at verzik.
