The Wizard of Oz, performed by Theatre Royale performers.
When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy and her dog, Toto, are whisked away in their house to the magical land of Oz. They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, and en route they meet a Scarecrow that needs a brain, a Tin Man missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage. The Wizard asks the group to bring him the broom of the Wicked Witch of the West to earn his help.

Great job with the witch disappearing in munchkinland, tinman scene. Sets very nice especially lion scene. Acting is great. Lion fantastic. The lighting effect in the tin man scene great. snowflake costumes amazing! Great idea bringing a horse on stage. I just wish you didn't use a curtain in scenes. Wish was more translational scene changes. Especially with all the great things going for a high school play. Excellent

Three years too late.. But can someone explain to me why in the credits it had multiple actors for one character? As an example its got for Dorothy (Avalon Penrose/Rainie Lee Seibold). The same goes for characters like Scarecrow, Tinman and Lion. Is this because of the actors that played the characters on different nights too? Although I'm under the impression that this is all the same night. Can anyone explain? Thank You!

@1.23.40 when the real actress Judy Garland did this scene the first take in the DVD Excerpts she did cry deliberately because she was thinking of her father who died of meningitis in 1936, and L.B Meyer wanted realism. He was apparently a monster to Judy, calling her fat behind her back and called her his (his little hunchback) I guess for Judy Garland, MGM was like being trapped in the Wicked Witches Castle. 😥
