Woooo hoooo 🎉🎉. Another awesome shed time creation. 👍👍😎👍👍. Even when you got a fancy manual mill, you’d be a fool not to utilize the fastest material removing tools in the shop...... the bandsaw for slicing and the drill for making holes. Well done. Great detail and design choice explanations. All the best to you......

If I was you I would be making something to deal with that huge Croc out there. Maybe some type of exploding harpoon or a large cannon...something like that. An oil filter cutter probably won't even scratch him.

Question for you. Whenever I grind aluminium on my belt sander, the piece gets bloody hot - I have to hold with multi-grips and wear a welding glove - you just held it and shaped it...what gives?

G'day Benny, i've consumed so much Asbestos in my life my Skin is now completely heat proof. Ok the truth now. Actually the above statement may have some Merit. I was constantly dipping it into a small bucket of water, you can see me do it right at the end. I just edited out all of the previous dippings. Yes, it gets friggin hot aye. Cheers Mate.

@@TheAussieShed LOL...I think I'm going to make an aluminium grinding plate that will suck the heat out of the work - large area, 1/2" chunk....at the moment its a flimsy painted steel plate. (Yes, its a crappy, cheap and shitty belt sander - ripe for improvements).

You have product most car guys would love to have. DIY is great, but most folks do not have access to this type of machinery. If you were to replicate this, what would you sell it for?

G'day Mate, i dunno, this stuff is really a labor of love for me, hard to say. You can get a covid version on ebay pretty cheaply though.

Why go through all this when a tin snip works twice as fast. Just one snip on the double lip at the bottom of filter, then turn the snips @ clip the double lip around until it's off. About 10 seconds.
